Liked: This hostel was incredible. I have never been looked after so much by anyone as I did by the staff at this hostel. There was nothing you could ask of them that would have been a problem. The beds were comfortable, dorm rooms clean, fantastic location (only a 5 minute walk to the centre of town and museums and really safe), amazing breakfast and super easy to meet people. Ended up staying twice as long as intended.

Liked: This was one of the best hostels I have stayed in, which says a lot because I've stayed in about 50 hostels. The staff was awesome and went out of their way to make sure everyone was pleased. I highly recommend this place!

Liked: Good: hot water, sometimes cleanBad: Owner forgot our reservation and made us pay anyway for his mistake, shared bathrooms were rarely clean, no free breakfast, no heating (brrr), the room we stayed in at the front had holes in the windows and very poor mattresses. Not very comfortable and the owner was incompetent.

Liked: Terrible value: Owner/staff is not present at check-in times, to give access to the hostel or to rooms. Owner routinely overbooks hostel, kicks out extra guests or gives rooms different from booked due to "confusion." Loud partying late into the night - and rooms soak up noise from loud patio, making sleep impossible. Charge $3 to use the stove. Spotty hot water, dirty bathrooms. Pay to use washer/dryer.

Liked: Lot of people who are gonna study at TEC, great location and the owner, JJ, is really helpful and friendly. At the beginning of January it's really cold at nights, so be preparated for that.

Liked: This place is very cosy excellently located in the beautiful old town of Moneterrey. Owner is fluent in English and is very helpful with additional information. Highly recommend!

Liked: Very good location in the historical part of the city, within walking distance to the center and just minutes away from Macroplaza. The owner is a very friendly, helpful and easy going guy. In the hostel you can also get some really good breakfast and their specialty - belgium wafles. It's not included though but the prices were reasonable. Would recommend this place!

Liked: The Hostel had a very good atmosphere and it's The Place for people coming to study in Monterrey in terms of finding future roommates. The thing that kind of sucked was that there wasn't any air conditioning in the dorms so during summer it's just frickin hot inside.

Liked: I really enjoyed staying at this place and I plan to go back there. The owner is great, very friendly and knowledgeable guy. The room and bathroom are pretty clean and they make great waffle pancakes....try them!! Also is located in an ideal spot since most museums, shopping areas, monuments and night clubs or bars are at a walking distance.

Liked: Clean building, nice showers, nice lounge area. The only thing I wish they had were lockers to keep your stuff in securely. In addition, their internet access was limited, i.e. they need more computers for the patrons to check email, photos, etc.
