Liked: It is a quiet hostel (hence the rating for meeting people), however, for me this is a positive not a negative. The host was extremely helpful, to the point of even cutting out vouchers for me to get into places I wanted to visit for less. He provided excellent advice for visiting places. It is not in the main touristy area and you need to take the Metro to get there, but again, for me, I did not think this was a problem. It is near a very nice cafe district (where you stop for coffee on the way to the Metro).

Liked: Pros: nice and helpful owner, nice sitting areas

Disliked: Contras: The hostel is closed betwen 12 and 4 pm, so you can't check in earlier than 4! It is located pretty far from a metro station, walking distance about 20 min. There is just one bathroom for all the guests (which sucks when you need to pee and somebody's taking a shower). Rooms are decent but ours was pretty small. If you want to meet fun people, it's not the right place for you. All in all I think it's pretty expensive for what you get. At Mexico City Hostel we payed 150 pesos less and had a breakfast included, free internet and perfect location, the room was even much bigger.

Disliked: A bit run-down, neglected property, lockout time from 12 to 16 pm, when u cannot even stay in your rented room, no free internet, no kitchen, spare, spartan room

Liked: Fantastic place. Aaron was hugely helpful in suggesting things to see and helping us organise how to get there and when to go, including public transport/taxis etc. It is not right next to public transport but it is not difficult to get anywhere you want to go with Aaron's clear instructions.Rooms are big and there is a big garden, The hostel is also decorated nicely and there is a huge TV screen. I recommend it.

Liked: The most important and valuable "thing" in this hostel was the owner who was so kind to take his own time to indicate to us everyday what was the best thing to do: his knowledge of the city and his helpfulness allowed us to enjoy our trip at its most. He also recommended good places to eat which gave us good chances to taste local food. However, hot water was not available every moment, but the owner attempted to solve our problems as soon as possible. We highly recommend this hostel if you'd like to stay in a clean and quiet place.

Liked: This is a beautiful residential home which has been converted into a lovely hostel. The owner is the most informative and helpful person I have ever encountered at a hostel!!! It makes such a difference!!! Easy access to centre of town and bars/restaurant areas, if you dont mind a tiny bit of a walk. Only downside is the lack of kitchen or television etc. They have been hit hard by swine flu and have had to cut back. Apart from that a beautiful stay in an amazing city!!!

Liked: Nice quiet hostal which is extremely clean and secure. Aaron was a fantastic source of information about his country. He saved us lots of time and money by helping us each day with our itineries and how to get places easily using public transport. He helped us decide what to do in the rest of Mexico and assisted us with bookings. Fantastic service. We stayed an extra night and have booked to return hear at he end of our trip.

Liked: The owner of this hostel is one of the most lovely and helpful people I have ever met! This was our first stop in Mexico, and with only very basic Spanish under our belt, the owner really helped us out and gave us many tips and recommendations.Although location i snot right in the center of town, it is very easy to get everywhere that you need to as the metro is just a very short bus ride away. The other beauty of this place is that it is in a nice residential area so much safer and quieter than others meaning you can walk around late at night with no worries. I would def stay here again without a shadow of a doubt.

Liked: wow! this is the hostel you want to stay at for your stay in mexico. you are not only in a friendly and safe neighbourhood, close to transport links to the centro historico and a 10 minute stroll to the bosque de chapultepec (a stuning HUGE park- full of museums, a zoo and much much more), but you have your veery own personal guide in the owner Aaron. such a welcoming face at the door every day ( you dont get your own front door key- great as you know people arent going to leave the door open etc-but maybe not good for those coming home worse for wear at 6 am?). he knows so much , and can recommend everything down to food, transport, walks, markets...and probably much much more.you get a small brekkie in the price which is great, and he even got in brown bread..which was a treat. you cant use the kitchen outside brekfast hours...which perhaps is the only downfall.rooms are large and airy with warm, clean bedding. the bathroom is immaculate apart from some peeling paint...but who doesnt have that in their bathroom?we were enjoying ourselves so much in the city , and he recommended going to see the ruins, but we had already booked our hostels ahead for our next cities... not a problem aaron said, and off he went...and changed our bookings and helped with transport ahead. top help.i will be back to mexico. and i am sure staying at this hostel helped me with this decision.
