Liked: Location is good, helpful and friendly staff, and the hostel is beautiful and spacious.

Disliked: Breakfast could of more variety than just toasts, fried egg and fruits. The free internet-ed computers are rather slow.

Liked: the location is great: in the heart of the historic centre, close to the cathedral and the aztec templo mayor and the rest of zocalo square with all its old spanish buildings and pedestrian madero street.

Disliked: like many spanish buildings it is built around a patio. originally these patios are open so that the rooms that open unto them get fresh air. but in this case the patio was given a roof, practical against rains but suffocating too. as almost all rooms have an oft tiny window even the dormitories, you must be used to sleeping without much oxigen not to be bothered. i never felt clear in my head in the morning. at 7 i answer no because i didn't see it, but it might be there

Liked: location was excellent, the staff were helpful, good value for money.

Disliked: the stairs were hard work, lack of proper social area.

Liked: It´s very close to the center, it was clean

Disliked: we stayed in double private room, it was very tiny and it only had safe deposit, bed and tiny shelf. The room wan not very soundproof, but tired as we vere we did not mind.

Liked: Excellent location, just a few steps from the Zócalo. Very helpful staff

Liked: Really clean and big, great place to fly into, locations right on the square. Girls and guys dorms big! And the breaky was eggs and toast.

Disliked: Not a great place to meet other people cos there wasnt a chill out area. At 9.30 there was no longer any breaky left even tho it should go until 10. Only one staff member was nice and helpful. But still a great place.

Disliked: In front of the desk they hung the diploma that they had reword for the best location. But, location is not all for travelers. In the night I would like to sleep and to rest. But it was impossible. Two kinds of installations used to work during night. It was impossible to sleep all night. And cleanness of bathroom leaved much to be desired…

Liked: The location is good if you want the sights in the centre, but not so good if you want anything to eat or drink after 10pm.

Disliked: Um, after ten months I have never had to write a bad review, but....We chose this hostel as it advertises a kitchen. However, the kitchen was never cleaned after breakfast until much later in the day. One day we came in to use the kitchen at 4.30pm, six and a half hours after breakfast had finished and it was only just being cleaned! The cleaner had barred the kitchen with bins so we could not even put our food in the fridge. The same day my partner had to wait over an hour to have a shower, but the bathroom had also been blocked up whilst the cleaners cleaned. Not sure why the whole block had to be closed off. Customers come first, eh? Then there was no hot water. I mentioned all this to the manager but she could not care less but was quite happy to take my money. The ladies toilets were often without toilet paper, according to my partner. The Internet they provide is crap. The breakfast is mediocre, it says til ten but I came down at half nine and all the fruit and eggs had gone. I could have cooked some eggs in the tip of the kitchen but it did not look to appealing so I just went back to bed. The coffee is crap, too. The staff seem to think it is okay to shout at each other throughout the building. It is not, to be honest. Sound travels through the building, so do not expect a great sleep or lie-in. The cleaners tutted at us if you walk across a floor you are cleaning, even if you apologise! What else I am to do, fraid I cannot levitate. And why clean the stairs when the kitchen is in a disgraceful state? Priorities? The smoking area is at the front door, not to great to walk through. The dorms are a bit crammed. Too many beds in a small place. I am quite tall so when I stretched it would result in my bed being hit by the door every time someone walked in.

Liked: Location was good and the hostel was relatively clean, however for the price it should have been better service at the desk.

Disliked: This Hostel was overall good. However there was only one bathroom for females on the second level and there was not hot water one day. In the dorm room thre was these metals lockers which were so noisy! In the morning when people were moving on from the room, they were not being overly noisy but the lockers banged around, such a bad idea from a dorm room! The lady at the front desk was really rude when we arrived, only giving us one key (we were three) and did not tell us where to go, I had to ask, what room? where is that? can we have a key? bla bla bla.

Liked: The hostel is very central, close to everything we needed, namely a metro station, places to eat and the historic centre. The staff were usually available and very helpful. The hostel also offers more tours than other places from what other travellers told us. I'd read comments about the hostel being noisy but this was nit noted by us at all.

Disliked: John left no negative feedback.

Liked: really helpful and friendly staff, breakfast was good. very clean, excellent location. great choice of tours to offer and great place to meet people.

Disliked: it was quite noisy at night. some people have no common courtesy to keep their voice down when talking past midnight.

Disliked: Bathrooms are dirty and not on every floor. The cover on the mattress hadn't been changed in weeks and most lockers have obviously been opened by force
