‘The Hostel Faby’ is a beautiful house which has been transformed into a most charming and comfortable hostel! Inaugurated in March 2006, it is situated in the historic heart of the city of Merida, in the tranquil "barrio" know as Mejorada!

The Hostel Faby is a beautiful house which has been transformed into a most charming and comfortable hostel. Inaugurated in March 2006, it is situated in the historic heart of the city of Merida, in the tranquil "barrio" know as Mejorada. A 15 minute stroll will take you to the Main Square, the Governor’s Palace, the City Museum, the House of Montejo "El Mozo" and San Ildefonso Cathedral, the oldest ever built on the American Continent. A more ten minutes from the Hostel Faby lays the Museum of the Yucatecan Song, where you will find all you need to know about the great Yucatecan composers.

Originally, seven archways marked the boundaries of the city. Unfortunately, only three survived to modern times, two of which are situated only five minutes from the hostel and can be admired to the main square: the archways of the bridge and the Dragons.

The owner of the Hostel, known as Faby to her friends, is an enthusiastic Yucatecan woman who, after living in Europe, has now decided to open her home and welcome you, her guest, who honor us by visiting the beautiful city of Merida.

There are seven rooms at your disposal, most of which have four single beds, in the form of bunk-beds.

We have four rooms with air-conditioning, private bathroom, desk, and a closet with four individual lockers.

Two rooms have ceiling fans, mosquito screens on the windows, shared bathroom and individual lockers.

For those who prefer more privacy, we have a spacious room with a large double bed, private bathroom, ceiling fan and hooks to hang the Yucatecan hammock you have always wanted to try.
