Liked: I loved it. This was the warmest welcome I can remember at a hotel or hostel. The place was wonderful. I met two other single women and we wandered the town together for two days. Just a great place. The breakfast is incredible!!!!

Disliked: nothing

Liked: The hostel was very clean and the staff were friendly. The breakfast was excellent and different each day. Nice view over the city.

Disliked: At the end of a long day the stairs were not fun, but everyone says I look like I am in shape now, so thats good.

Liked: The breakfast, definitely!!! It´s unbelievable, plenty of food, and also very very delicious! My room was very nice. It was quiet. There´s free water to refill your bottle. The hostel itself is very nicely decorated, and all of the staff were really friendly and helpful. Would most definitely stay here again.

Disliked: My room was a bit cold and didn´t have windows, and a couple of times there was no hot water but all you have to do is tell the owners and you´ll have it within a few minutes.

Liked: This is a lovely place but probably better for young travellers who party all night. It was very noisy during the night and the owners did not stop this despite there being a ' no noise after 11:30pm ' rule. The decor and details are beautiful and being on a hill you get a great view. The linen on my bed was not clean/had not been changed and the toilet flooded as soon as I arrived so there were some hiccups but the owners fixed this quickly enough.

Liked: The atmosphere and breakfast were so nice.

Disliked: Shower was cold and I had to ask the staff to turn on the heat. The hot water was still unstable but was bearable.

Liked: Amazing decor, breakfast and a wonderful Hostel family make Casa De Dante my favorite Hostel in the World!

Liked: "Irene" is a fantastic, authentic Mexican comida cook and will whip you up the most fantastic desayuno. This is (to make my point) a 5 star hostel. It is incredibly detailed with meticulously-laid brick and tile. Everything is solid including the beds, which (even bunk) don't sway at all. The hospilality is unparalleled. On your way, be sure to pick up a cold beer because you will want to sink it on the breathtaking view from the super nice terrace. If coming by city bus, take "La Prese" (written on windshield) and get off at "El Cambio." Ask for the staircase "callejon" Zaragoza" and it's about 5 minutes walking up the 100 steps or so. The dorm room, the privates, all look super nice.

Disliked: Not exactly in the center of town but the city busses come by every 2-3 minutes and only cost 5 pesos.

Liked: Great Decor, really made you feel like you were in Mexico. Staff made you feel you like part of the family. Fantastic veiw from balcony. Very clean. Overall was a fantastic place and highly recommend it.

Liked: Helpful staff. Retired from the center: no disturbing noises from the street. Good breakfast (mexican breakfast).

Disliked: No parking area. No living room or meeting place with people. In the room beside the terrace in the third floor were really annoying the chat of people that gather in the terrace in the night (even later than 11 pm!) and the noise of the bathroom door opening and closing (metal made). Distance from center: be prepared with your legs!!!! (also because of the stairs to reach the place).

Liked: The casa has a lovely character, wonderful hosts, and the most beautiful rooftop patio. The rooms are great and have nice bathrooms. Great for a romantic getaway.

Disliked: I was suprised the room didn't have a tv.

Liked: A perfect guesthouse, the owner is extremely nice and helpful. The breakfast were so delicious (more a full meal than a breakfast. One of the friendliest hostels and cities on my whole trip. Nice roof terrace with great views. be sure to stay here if you go to guanajuato!

Disliked: The beds in the dormitory are a quite expensive, compared to other hostels. I think you could attract many more travellers with a bit cheaper prices for the rooms

Liked: This is a place I would have liked to stay for much longer!!! Very familiar, over the top clean and friendly, amazing service and breakfast!!! They did a great effort to make it a house you feel welcome and comfortable in! Big terrace with a great view. I would go there anytime again!!

Liked: It's an amazing house, full of character and the rooms are very spacious and well cared for. Breakfast is supplied with the cost of the room and you are really treated to a gourmet Mexican meal, much better than any restaurant. The family do everything to make you feel very welcome. Very good value for money.

Disliked: The location, a little way out of town and the steps are quite daunting. I was glad I didn't arrive with much luggage.

Liked: The staff were sooo friendly! Breakfast was provided which was a welcome surprise and they went to so much effort, my friend who also stayed in the hostel with me is vegetarian and they went to so much effort to provide good food for her! I would definately recommend this hostel, despite the 160 steps up to it, its totally worth it!
