Liked: The staff was friendly and willing to help

Disliked: The private room was disgustingly dirty. Sheets hadn't been change, floors were dirty, bathroom is falling apart and shower curtain is filthy. No hot water at certain points.

Liked: It is beautiful, the Mexican decor , is fantastic.

Disliked: There are no lighting in the upper floors, to get to your room, it is very scary!!!

Liked: The private rooms were more like hotel rooms and the location was great

Disliked: I believe there was bed bugs in the private room we stayed in. I returned to my father in laws place in California directly after staying two nights here and over the next two days broke out in all these small bites which is usually how i am effected by bed bugs

Liked: The hostelito has a really nice communal area with a kitchen and roof terrace which is good for meeting people.

Disliked: The bathrooms in the dorm area were dirty and didn't seem to get cleaned during my two night stay.

Liked: One of the best hostels I've stayed in. More like a 2+ hotel than a hostel though. They had an amazingly nice patio lounge area. Unfortunately it was rather empty though. The private rooms were hotel like. However, took a look at the dorm and it was one of the worst dorms I have every encountered. I wouldnt have stayed there if it was free. If you stay at Hostelito, get a private room. It is well worth the extra money.

Liked: large main dorm lots of space with comfortable beds and huge lockers for your stuff padlocks included. they let me keep my tri bike beside my bed see their facebook webpage I did the Ford Ironman Cozumel 2010 10.42min, the location is perfect 2 blocks from the Ferry, great kitchen with fridge for your food and cheap supermarket near by, all round a great experience at the hostel ill be back!

Disliked: walking up the stairs after my 140.6 mile Ironman....

Liked: The location is pretty good. But they have such a bad bedbugs problem that i would not recommend it to anyone. Sadly it's the only real hostel on the island, but staying here is a great way to pick up some unwanted visitors and lose a little blood. I left my bed at 04.00 because i could feel them biting me, and while i sat in reception for the rest of the night i still had to kill 10 that came looking for me.

Liked: easy to get to from ferry, good communal kitchen and patio first floor area, staff helpful but all the beds, pillows and soft furnishings like sofas, cushions looked like never been cleaned and in the 26 bed dorm you could either try to make your bed on the top bunk to get a fan near you or roast all night on the bottom bunk - also quite noisy all night from people coming and going and talking/music from patio

Liked: Very nice outdoor kitchen area and very close to the ferry from Playa. Loud disco across the road and not super clean/not much hot water but fun and cheap none the less.

Liked: The Hostelito is nicely located near the main plaza and just three blocks from the ferry terminal. My room was nice, private and fairly clean and it included a private bath, a refrigerator and air conditioning. The water wasn´t hot and did not have much pressure behind it , but a shower is a shower. The patio area was very pleasant and carefully maintained, but tended to get a little loud after midnight, when the nightly party started.All in all, a very good option if you are looking to stay in Cozumel economically.
