Daniel O'Keefe thinks…
"The town itself is small with very friendly locals - probably better to be out of Piste where the streets can be crowded with tourists. We had no problem with the bungelows."Read all Yucatan Mayan Retreat Ecohotel & Camping reviews

Take the Cancun Libre Carretera (Highway 180 towards Cancun) (Chichen Itza, Vallodolid, and Direction). Driving from Merida Downtown you only have to find the Street 59, take it and drive straight ahead (Do not ever turn) until you find the Periferico road (at the end of the city) there you will find signs that say CANCUN (follow them), Please note that this is a free highway, you do not have to pay any tolls.
As soon as you see the sign to your right (nearly 30 minutes ahead) Cancun Libre, take it!, even though there is another sign (to the left) that says Cancun Cuota (toll), Chichen Itza, Valladolid, do not take this one you will be paying tolls for NOTHING! You will pass Kantunil village, drive past the villages of Holca, then Libre Union, until you reach Yokdzonot. There you will see signs to your left directing you to the Yucatan Mayan Retreat.
It is very easy to get!
(Do not take the toll highway as it takes you further than you need to go).
Total driving time: around 1 hour
Driving from Tulum:
After you pass the villages of Kaua, Xcalacoop, and Piste, you will reach Yokdzonot. There you will see signs directing you to the Yucatan Mayan Retreat.

Driving from Cancun:
Take the Merida Cuota carretera (Highway 180 towards Merida). Please note that this is a toll highway. It is possible to take the Merida Libre highway that does not have a toll but it takes longer as it goes past many smaller villages; this is the highway to take if you are in the mood for a more scenic drive. Take the Piste exit, then the Carretera Libre (Highway 180; free, not toll) until Yokdzonot. There you will see signs directing you to the Yucatan Mayan Retreat.
Total driving time: around 2 hours.
