Liked: Good location, and it was reasonably clean (we were expecting much worse after other traveller reviews.) It was fine for a night - if you're staying longer look elsewhere!

Disliked: There's a complete lack of atmosphere - the staff couldn't care less about their business. We stayed in a private room with no windows which was like being in a prison cell. No sun loungers, couldn't connect to the internet, "entertainment room" is an empty space with a TV at the end of it, the purified water wasn't free as advertised, and breakfast was some chopped up melon with a few bits of toast. The 24 hour restaurant next door turned its music on at 5.30am. We passed La Pirata, Monkey and Hotel Colonial and all looked like better options.

Disliked: 3 fans for a 10 people room. i was there for one night with only one other person, and i still woke up in the middle of the night due to the heat!

Liked: Beautiful old building with a nice courtyard where (simple) breakfast was served. Great location right near the main square. Nice rooms but ventilations wasn't great. Bikes available for hire which we used to cycle down the malecon.

Disliked: They had lost our hostelbookers booking and didn't honour the 10% deposit we had already paid, although the room price we wound up paying was cheaper than the hostelbookers advertised price.

Disliked: it looks like they haven't done anything on the house in the last few years.. a bit of paint would help though..

Liked: The owner seems to know a lot about history and can speak English very well.

Disliked: The bathroom seems to be dysfunctional.

Disliked: It was not that easy to find the Hostel since the streets in Puebla are mostly one-way-streets

Liked: Great location directly in the center.

Disliked: Not very clean ( Bathroom/Shower's).14 people in one big room , two ventilator's ; that's not enough . Very bad air .

Liked: The staff were very helpful

Disliked: It wasn't very clean. Our private room smelled damp and there was something growing on the fan. Also, heaps of the ladies toilets were out of order.

Liked: good location right on the downtown

Disliked: they have bykes to rent there (thats a very good thing) but the bikes are quite old that could be better...

Liked: Location is very good and the building itself its realy nice.

Disliked: Staff dont really care about whats going on there, everythings done halfway... they have a ping pong table but they don have anyhing to play with, internet doesnt work, cold showers, disgunsting sink. The mattress had tapeall over it and the sheets were not big enough for the bed.

Liked: Location: main square 50m away

Disliked: Breakfastservice: waited 15minutes, nothing happens. Ask for some fruit, got it. Then again wait 15 minutes and nothing happens, so went away. Other days did not take breakfast anymore.

Liked: central location

Disliked: It seems like all the rooms have no access to outside windows, only small ones opening to a corridor. It feels like a prison cell. Window curtains cannot be opened because of public access in corridor. Mosquitoes also a worry.

Liked: You got a storage locker which you could keep everything in

Disliked: The rooms were far too hot, fans did not reach you in you stayed in the dorms. No mosquito protection at all. Service depended on who was on duty at the time. No internet, only a poor wi-fi connection and no free water!

Liked: The location near to the plaza

Disliked: We wanted to book a tour to Calakmul (which the hostel offered) but we waited for 3 days but no tour. They were just not happy to arrange the tour for 2 people, no problem but let us know. During our stay (3 nights) there was no hot water and the private room we booked had no window so it was very hot!! The staff is friendly but only one person could speak English.

Disliked: no english speaking staff, ugly bathroom and toilets, unorganized key-management

Liked: The property itself is in a good location, however, it looked and felt like the walls were going to fall on me as they need to be replastered and I didn't want to use the taps in the ladies or mixed bathroom as they are in need of a good scrub. Generally, the place is clean and very quiet (I believe I was the only person there...). The staff were always really friendly and helpful, so I wouldn't fault them at all.
