Liked: Good location, nice dorm areas, impressive old building. Staff not friendly and hostel lacked any real character or fun aspect. Restaurant next door was overpriced.... Would probably look elsewhere if in Campeche again.

Liked: there are two different desk people. one of them is EXTREMELY helpful and the other (younger looking) guy wasn't too welcoming. The helpful guy was named Juan or Jose. Helped us out with EVERYTHING!!! I saw him there mostly in the morning. I can't stress how helpful he was.

Liked: It's a beautiful old building, very well located. The staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful - especially when I arrived at 4.00am! There's a great restaurant right next door to the hostel as well.

Liked: Hostal was one of the nicest and cleanest that I stayed in during my stay around Mexico. There is a delicious restaruant attached to the hostal where you can have breakfast and whatever else (open 24 hrs). People at the hostal were so kind. I arrived at 3 am instead of 8 am and they had a bed ready for me where I stayed 2 nights and only had to pay one.Really a clean beautiful hostal, though Campeche is hot as hell so a cold shower and fan really come in handy.
