Liked: Nothing

Disliked: They were unprepared for our group (7 of us) no room available for 2 guys and said we had not booked even though we had the Hostelbookers receipt! They were not particularly freindly. Tombeau Bay is not a fun place at all

Liked: Friendliness of owners. Very helpful & couldn't do anymore to help you.

Disliked: Bad location, miles from any bars/restuarants.

Disliked: the locality is quite far from the beach and the Tombeau Baie is not so beatuful as other parts of the Mauritius

Liked: the property is ideal for people who search for quietness and nature,even a bed for a child was there! net for moskito over the bed. Miss Fatia is very helpful and has a little food store. save place.

Liked: If you need a base for the north of the island - this has to be the best on offer. You probably need a car, but for the price we paid was fantastic value for money. We expected little for the little money we paid, but had an ensuit room and Fatina, the owner, has a shop below to cater for you and the use of a kitchen. It was great fun here, and Fatina has to be the nicest person. She goes out of her way to help you at any time. Thank you!

Liked: Very reasonable place to stay, good room twin with two double beds and en suite with good shower. Very friendly people, relaxed, good atmosphere, handy shop downstairs, very reasonable proiced cold beers. Clost to very large supermarket. Would recommend to rent a car to explore the island properly and the very reasonable room rates makes this possible. The airport pick up was a god send after a long flight. Would return if I was visiting Mauritius again.

Liked: Slightly random place - building in the shape of a boat! Has a shop attached which is useful. Is kinda in the middle on nowhere, there is a limited bus service to get you places, but would recommend hiring a car.

Liked: -the value for money is beyond belief-owners are tremendously helpful & provide local knowledge-relaxed atmosphere-large bedrooms & bathrooms-fans & mosquito nets provided-small shop carries basics at large supermarket's prices-fully equipped kitchen makes self catering simple-safety (motion sensors, cameras, very aware owners...!)

Liked: Le Capitain is the best value for money that i ever have seen so far. The owners are very friendly and make you feel at home straight away. If I ever go back ill certainly stay at the Capitain again. You can buy all basic things you may need at the shop downstairs and use the kitchen on the first floor to prepare some small food if u get hungry at night. Its just brilliant for price you pay.The only problem is that im now worried it may be fully booked and ill not get a room next time I go due to my honest rating.. he he.. honestly it is the best value for money that you can possibly get.

Liked: it was a small and very hostile place to stay. there were other travellers like us, from asia, africa and europe. everybody was open minded in the house so it was easy to start to talk to other guests, too.
