La Reine Creole B & B

Corinne and Marc O. are living on the beautiful island of Mauritius. It is situated at approximately 2000 km to the south eastern coast of Africa and lies east of Madagascar in the Indian Ocean. From Europe it takes nonstop up to twelve hours by air.
They are a creol-german couple. Fluent in German, English and French.

The B & B opened in June 2006. It is situated in the south west of the island. This area has subtropical forests, rivers, steams and waterfalls and is the last most untouched nature allover. If you seek for silence and romance, this is the right place for you. The property with about 5600 sq ft. has a tropical garden and two roof-top verandas. From here you will have a gorgeous view on the sea and the impressive Le Morne Brabant.

The Sea is only 100 m far and the beach - set on the turquoise lagoon of Le Morne peninsula - is just 4 km far from here. You can reach it by Bus or bike in around six minutes. A large golf-course is just around the corner. At La Gaulette (ten minutes by walk) some shops offer fashion from top designers like Ralph Lauren, or you can purchase your souvenirs at local stores. Beside this here are numerous supermarkets, one Cyber-Café with a Café for Ice cream and Cappuccino. Some good Restaurants offer Chinese, Creol and European meals.

Six hours of sun throughout the year are for sure! So, everyday is a beautiful day. On one of these days relax on the garden view veranda. Watch the sunset on the sea and enjoy a local beer.

Mostly all sightseeing spots or places of interest on Mauritius are around La Gaulette. This place is indeed the best link for excursions. For a paradise vacation there are some organized tours with a speed-boat for dolphin-watching or a day on a snorkeling-trip with an afternoon-BBQ on the "Ile aux Benitiers", the island offshore La Gaulette.

Air-con is only available in the Studios and costs an extra of 4 Euro per day. Mostly it is used in the summertime between December and March.

Our Breakfast (between 8 and 9:30 am) is included.
