Liked: - My own place in Grand Baie, next to the Super U, so perfect for the selfcaterers. - The balcony is very nice, also the place where I spent most of my time when I'm in the appartement. - The people here are very friendly.

Disliked: - Work in progress next to Dookee House, so alot of noice, from early in the morning till 6 pm. - Only cold water, also in the shower. - Shower isn't very good, low waterpressure and bad connection between the showerhead and the wall. - TV works a bit weird, the buttons don't always do what they're meant to do. - Mosquito net for only one bed.

Liked: My inexpensive apartment had a kitchen and was very close to a supermarket.

Disliked: There was no internet at the apartments. Their other site had wi-fi for free, but it was 10 minutes away.

Liked: Proximity to the beach and supermarket in Grand Baie is what is great about this place. It's a great budget place for Mauritius, though don't expect a beach view. The accommodation is great as it has a kitchen for self catering too.

Disliked: The place isn't clearly sign posted from the road, so you may walk past it a few times before you find it. There was also building work going on nearby when I stayed (in low season) so you may be woken up with noises of sawing for the near future. Also the owner was a bit slow to react to my query about how to work the shower, he said he'd pop up to sort it out, but 2hours later hadn't and when I went down to see if someone could come look at it, I had to wait till the morning!

Liked: Excellent location, very cheap, but very basic (inclduing the touch of plastic flowers - all in all, excellent value for money if you just go with the flow.

Liked: THE HOSTEL IS RIGHT IN THE CENTRE OF GRAND BAY WITH QUITE A LOT OF BARS AND RESTAURANTS AND THE BAY JUST DOWN THE ROAD IS ABJSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL, HOWEVER, IF YOU WANT BIGGER BEACHES YOU'LL HAVE TO CATCH THE BUS OR DRIVE FOR 10 MINUTES BUT IT'S WORTH IT. ABSOLUTE GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY!

Liked: in the centre of grand bay, just in front of the big commercial centre u complex, we reserved an apartment with 2 single beds and we received one with 2 separate bedrooms at the same price. also good for parking inside and night vigilance. the room cleaned every 2 days, thank you. internet point also available,very good value for money.
