Liked: Plenty on offer, and handy to beaches and the rest of the island. In a safe and secure complex. Staff were friendly and willing to help make our stay very enjoyable.

Liked: Wish we had taken them up on their offer of airport transfers ... they were half the price of regular cars. Close to beach and local shops. Easy bus service to Port Louis and only 63 Rs or 1.5 Euros

Disliked: Some general maintenance needed but on the whole no real complaints. Loose dogs in local streets ... one of which bit me .. . but that was no fault of the property. TV only had two channels with English - even though it is supposed to the the first language here. We had been advised that Euros were accepted but most places wanted Rupees only. Local car hire advertised as "Insurance included" had an excess charge of 25000.00 Rupees. We were a bit disconcerted by the amount of barbed wire and razor wire around the local properties - we were told this is because there is a problem with burglaries due to drug problems. There was a security guard on duty in our complex at all times and we felt very safe.

Liked: Norbert will make you feel at home!! He is a very warm man and extremely helpful !! The studio is very nice and all the people around are really frindly. You will dolve this place. Flik en Flak is a great place, the beach is fantastic and sooooo the people to.You'll love it. I can definitely recomend it!!!

Liked: The owners were incredibly helpful, organised taxis for me, had bikes to rent, cars to hire, took me around the town on the first day to show me everything. They even got worried when they couldn't find me one day and they wanted to know that I was okay! They are awesome!

Liked: We stayed here for 3 nights to see the south of the island. It was a little smaller than we expected, but there was only 2 of us and it fitted what we needed perfectly. The owner was very nice and friendly and even let us have a late check out at no extra cost because we had a evening flight.

Liked: The owner was extremely friendly and helpfull! He took a real effort to make our stay enjoyable. The Studio itself was a very cosy and nice and perfect for one or two people. The complex surroundings were also very nice and clean. The pool was big but there was a bit shortage of sunbeds, although they were always free for us. This place is really good value for money! We definately recommend this for everyone who are looking for a nice and cheap hostel at flic en flac area! ( Big plus for it's situation too, beach and all the shops etc are in a walking distance!)

Liked: We actually got upgraded to a villa so this is a review for that...same price, slept 7 on three floors. Unbelievably good - great big pool, lovely balconies, 4 mins from beach and shops - and a snip. Could not have wished for better. The owners were also very helpful and relaxed - e.g. let us leave very late on our day of departure

Liked: The owner was incrediably friendly and wanted to do all possible to make our stay there relaxed, enjoyable and easy. This more than made up for the lack of outdoor space avaliable for us to sit in outside the studio.
