Liked: We stayed in a self-service apartment. The kitchen was fully equipped (right down to cutlery!) and we also had free towels. It was clean and definitely good value for money.

Disliked: It was a bit difficult to find at first as the reception area initially is for Dragonara Hotels. However, when we got to the hotel reception the staff directed us to where we were supposed to go and all was fine.

Liked: Nothing.

Disliked: They could not find our reservation and they wanted us out. Rude staff. Very unpleasant smell in our room. Worn and modest equipment the kitchen.

Liked: Extremely cheap, plenty of space, relatively clean, decent beds

Disliked: Very loud noise from the surrounding area at night. Do NOT forget earplugs!! It was not possible to open the window in the bathroom to ventilate the room. Someone had warmed what looked (and smelt) like milk in the electric kettle and left it to rot! We tried to clean the kettle, but it was not possible. The staff member we met in the reception, when we arrived, was rather arrogant and seemed bothered by our presence. However, the staff member we met on our departure was very kind and friendly.

Liked: it was super cheap! we paid 8 euros a night per person and it is very centrally located with lots of space! the only downside is it is noisy and a couple things were broken in the hotel, but for 8 euros and only staying there a couple nights I think it was a steal!

Disliked: loud and couple things were broken

Liked: The price to value ratio is to be liked for sure; the general cleanliness has been appreciated, save for the one cockroach we found, though they changed our room right away when we brought it up with the staff. The staff is rather helpful and friendly, though they are dealing with a building which is not top quality.

Disliked: The building itself is rather difficult to find; the Dragonara website offers no useful information, and their street sign is small and not at all evident. The check-in procedure is cumbersome when arriving out of office hours: travellers need to go to nearby St. George hotel, where the rather rude and unhelpful staff will have the keys. The phone numbers provided could not be reached. To find the place, go on Dragonara Street, in front of "La Vallette Resort" and look for either a small white "Burlington" sign or a white-on-blue "Berlitz" sign. St. George hotel is kind of hidden; you are better off asking for directions at La Vallette Resort; the street for St. George starts next to a club called "Black Bull".

Liked: Cheap and clean, the location for going party or to the beach was great. Lots of restaurants around.

Disliked: Little bit noisy at nite, people coming back from party!

Liked: INCREDIBLY cheap! Located spot on in the bar area, close to the tourism centre and the beach. Very large room, kitchen and bathroom. Possibility to use the facilities from the hotel across the street (for a little extra money)... and again INCREDIBLY cheap!

Disliked: Didn't really mind the noise from the bars at night, but did very much mind the constructionworkers starting at 7 in the morning (but since they're building everywhere, this is not specific for this property I guess). Also not about the property but more a disliking about other guests; that they make a lot of noise at night when they get back to the apptmnt.

Liked: Very good price and location of hostel. Apparment was good and clean.

Disliked: Unfriendliness staff at reservation office. We paid 10 % of deposit by credit card and when we arrived they wanted extra 10 € for it, because they said that my card did not work, but it is not true (I checked my account). Noise in the night (streets and corridors in hostel)

Liked: the best thing: the total freedom you have, no reception, none checking anything, we made parties for 25 people in a room! Very good location, just at the corner with the clubs, PRICE AMAZING, perfect for young people who want to have fun in Malta, even better when you are groups. But if I was a 50 years old traveling with my family, I'd rather staying somewhere else, because it is a place for young people, too much noise at night, some stupid young kids running and screaming in the corridor, for me it is ok and I do not care, but I guess other people do about it

Liked: Great location, in the midlle of Maltas night life, a lot of space, huge bathroom, clan towels and sheets, has aircondition, and heeting,very cheap

Liked: Friendly staff, in the centre of st. Julians, pillows on bed, very big appartments, warm water all day long.

Disliked: difficult to find (because some plants before the small name on the front)

Disliked: Can get really loud at night, making it difficult to sleep, and the shower is very weak with no shower curtain.

Liked: Very central. Great for nightlife, no use staying there if you want to sleep though. Sooo cheap. Kitchenetter was functional and fab. Got a 2 bedroom apartment for 13 Euros a night.

Disliked: Noisy day (construction) and night (clubs) but not a problem for us. The only downside for us was it was cold the week we were in Malta and there were only sheets on the bed. So we used towels as blankets and wore all our clothes to bed.
