Liked: The best thing about this property is the very friendly staff, especially Yuse (sp?). But in addition, it is in a very lovely spot & the facilities are nice. I wish I'd stayed more than 1 night.

Liked: Location to Sepilok and the free shuttle ride to the door of the centre. The staff were so helpful and friendly. Breakfast is included and they have a restaurant facility for lunch and dinner which I was not aware of initially therefore did not withdraw enough money at the airport. The staff offered to transport us on our return to the airport (fee the same as the taxi fair) and obtain the rest to pay my bill. Needless to say a few beers were had as we knew we could relax and take advantage of this. I would highly recommend this place!

Liked: Chalets were beautiful, open air bathroom and air con, definetely worth the extra money. Most comfortable pillows in malaysia so far. staff friendly. view amazing. would definetely reccomend.

Disliked: Dorm had too many noisy people. Shared showers were poor.

Liked: The look of the place is great, the dorms are really cool in their long house style.

Disliked: A myriad of annoyances prevailed during our stay here. 1. The free shuttle bus forgot to pick us up so we had to walk back for a hour in the baking heat after trekking in the jungle totally dehydrated - the driver didn't even apologise instead thought that it was hilarious! They didn't even offer us a free drink by way of apology. 2. Our washing took three days to be done even though we only gave them a couple of t-shirts and a pair of shorts and were told the reason was due to their being a large tour group of ten people who needed to be catered for. So what we didn't matter then? 3. The free breakfast never came with what you ordered. 4. You had to wait forever at the counter just to get a member of staffs attention to even serve you. All in all rude staff, bad service and an all round awful experience :(

Liked: The location was excellent as it was near the orangatangs and the discovery park that I wanted to visit. A free shuttle bus was provided to visit Sepilok. Breakfast (eggs, toast, juice, coffee etc) was included in the price. Huts were airconditioned with its own toilet and shower which is always a bonus. The price is extremely good value for money. The wildlife around was wonderful.

Disliked: The road into the property gives a false impression of what it is going to be like. When you first arrive you think 'this is really doddgy' but you quickly realise that it is a small piece of paradise.

Liked: What An Awesome Place!! Strongest recommendation to stay here! Staff were excellent- thank you Nikki, Ella,Use,Anton,Rose, always willing to help out with a friendly smile. Dorms were huge, timber decking, mozzie screens, open-plan with verandah looking onto the jungle, crisp white sheets, decent mattresses, lovely relaxing area, hammocks, cushions, free wi-fi, restaurant on site, free shuttle bus runs into Sepilok Orangutan Centre/Rainforest Centre. Lovely setting, away from the bustle of the town, good place to chill, I stayed longer just because it was so nice. Definitely stay here! :)

Disliked: Nothing to disike, but a good improvement would be to get the computer up and running again for those without wi-fi, although staff were willing to lend their own personal laptops.

Liked: awesome place, the woman who runs it is very friendly and helpful, pretty clean and tidy, great scenery and really is out in the sticks considering how close to the city it is.

Disliked: pretty hard to find, tried using google maps and got sent completely the wrong way. Had to stop and ask for directions several times as it was nowhere near where i thought it was. Would be easy to find if you had the right directions and were doing it during the day tho!

Liked: lovely dorm room looking out onto trees with each bunk having its own door to a balcony where you can sit and watch squirrels and birds. Some of the staff (Nicky) are incredibly helpful and knowledgable. they have free trips to sepilok orangutan sanctuary and to the junction for buses. Excellent cafe and free breakfast. Clean!!

Disliked: the free trips to sepilok are at set times each day 9, 2 and 4..orangutan feeding is at 10 and 3 and the centre is closed between 12 and 2so if you want different times youll have to get a taxi as its not so close to sepilok you could walk.Also its not in a rainforest setting, its surrounded by oil palm plantations with a few rainforest trees surounding the actual buildings If its not on a bus route it will cost you 45ringit in a taxi (airport/supermarket). Has no kitchen to make your own food and the internet connection is rubbish and costs 3 ringit per hour. Bathroom facillities clean but basic. some of the staff are not so helpful and knowledgeable

Liked: A beautiful and relaxing resort where you can chill out in the surroundings of the jungle. Its a bit of a way from Sandakan but not too far from sepilok of which there is a free transport, its a perfect place to chill out. Even though you were a capative audience you didnt feel like that.

Disliked: Food did take a little long and sometimes you were skipped by accident. Also they just wrote things down and calculated the bill at the end and there were things on there that I didnt have because I cancelled the order but they were quite amiable when you pointed it out and removed it from the bill.
