Liked: Great place. Is more like a hotel than a hostel. We had a nice, clean room with attached very clean bathroom. service was good, breakfast also, and it's only a short walk to bustling chinatown. plus, the place looks cool, since it's a restored colonial villa.

Liked: It was more like staying in a hotel than a hostel which would be really good if you were a couple or in a group, but as a solo traveller it was difficult to meet other people. They do have free wifi however, but this didn't seem to be accessible from the dorms, only the lobby. The staff were very attentive and helpful, and the bathrooms were spacious and clean.

Liked: The staff at this hostel were all so friendly and were interested in making sure I had a great trip. They went out of their way to make me feel welcome. The place is ultra clean and in a good location.

Liked: Very easy to get to from the airport (take bus 401E) - we walked there from the Komtar shopping centre and it took only around 5-10 mins to find it. Good value for money. Clean, A/C and simple breakfast. The receptionist Nadir was excellent at giving us advice on where to eat and visit in Georgetown.

Liked: The Hutton Lodge is miles away from Hostel standard.It's much more of à Five-Star-hotel atmosphere. I've stayed in numerous lodges all around Asia and rarely seen somethin as cozy and clean as this one. Five stars all categories! Best in Value-for-Money!

Liked: One of the best value for money hostels we have stayed in. Was clean and comforatble and the staff were very helpful. Location was brilliant - just a few minutes from KOMTAR.

Liked: Hutton Lodge is a breath of fresh air especially when you compare it to some of the other backpackers around the area. It's really clean (possibly the cleanest bathrooms I've seen in all my backpacking adventures!) and the staff are very friendly and offer lots of good advice and there's free breakfast. Walls in the rooms are a bit thin but if you have considerate neighbours its not a problem.

Liked: Bed linen could have been cleaner as mine was stained and piling.This was the only down side. Place was full of character. Good value for money, large rooms, shared bathrooms clean,large and airy. Good location. Would stay here again

Liked: The building has been gorgeously restored and is amzingly clean. The showers were the best we saw on our trip through Malaysia and Thailand. The staff was very helpful and accommodating of our changed plans. Highly recommended!
