Liked: The location and the comfort, its clean and spacious the staff are very helpful, ten bucks a night for a dorm room... what more do you want? Stay here!

Liked: Hutton Lodge is one of the nicest hostels to stay in. It is lovely a clean, the beds are comfortable. It is quite quiet but there are a few areas to sit in where you can easily chat to people. The location is great and it is just round the corner from the main bus terminal to get buses to other places in the town. Nice basic breakfast and helpful staff for booking onward buses etc.

Liked: This hostel has lots of character and is very close to Town Centre and buses. It's also clean and tidy and the guys on reception were extremely kind and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay at Hutton Lodge.

Liked: Hutton Lodge is in a beautiful restored mansion, so you get way more atmosphere than your average hotel. Every thing was clean and nice, the rooms were comfortable and the AC worked well. Really good value for your money. The only problem I had with this hotel is that we asked for an early wake up to catch a bus to Krabi, and they forgot to wake us until the transport was downstairs waiting for us, so we had to rush around getting everything together to leave in 5 minutes. My recommendation: buy yourself a cheap alarm clock if you need to wake up early, don't count on the overnight staff to do it!

Liked: The room was just ok. I stay know for 10 RM more in a bigger, nice hotel with TV, hotwater shower, very kindly people. the guy at the reception wasn t very kind to me, when I arrived at 9.00 pm...I think it s s too expensive for what you get

Liked: this is probably the best hostel we have stayed in, in Asia and we have been travelling for 3 months! * lovely staff - always made u feel at home and welcome* great night staff who want to chat and enjoy your company* very clean and no insects* best shower in Asia - so hot and powerful* great place to meet peopleOverall - AN EXCELLENT PLACE TO STAY!!!Paul & Orla

Liked: This place made our stay in Penang one that we will never forget. The house has a beautiful calm ambience and staff are so friendly, helpful and professional! Our room was clean, and we loved the breakfast each morning!! You will get ripped off if you stay anywhere else. Trust me, this is a fantastic place to stay!! It was our little haven in Penang - right in the midst of it all :) Thankyou Hutton Lodge!!

Liked: The dorms and showers are very clean. However, the lockers were too small for a backpack.There is 24hr reception area. The staff were helpful and will answer any questions you might have.Good value!
