Liked: The lodge locates very near of the heritage areas, which is within walk distance to both china town and Komtar bus station. I like the bath room, clean and bright.

Disliked: A little bit smelly for rooms without window, but within tolerance.

Liked: It is a very clean property and the location is great. We left a day earlier and the help of the staff was very great.

Disliked: The idea that the gate is closed. What to do by a fire?

Liked: The staff is very friendly and willing to help customers. The Huttonlodge is located in a beautifully restored colonial building and the atmosphere is very pleasant. The rooms and shared bathrooms are very clean. Good value for money.

Liked: Fab hostel and such good value for money! Great staff always helpful and hostel was a good location in the town. Simple clean, tidy rooms- facilities all good. Nice simple breakfast included. Lovely looking hostel from outside and nice decor inside. Would defo recommend it and visit again!

Liked: Hutton lodge scores points across the board! I would definitely stay here again and would confidently recommend others to stay here. Very clean, very safe with a great location in Georgetown. who could ask for anything more at this price?!

Liked: I absolutely love this place. Very central location- lots to see and do and eat near by. The staff are very helpful and the place is beautiful to look at. Lots of palms and high ceilings with fans. It was very clean and had lots of places inside and out to sit and enjoy a drink or chat to people. A nice and quiet break from the noise and chaos of Georgetown, with every facility near by. And the aircon in the bedrooms is much appreciated. I will definitely stay here again- basically just like a hotel, but at a much better price and with more character.

Liked: We walked to the hostel from the port with our backpacks, which wasn't the best idea, I would recommend a taxi. The hostel staff we're friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and comfortable and a basic breakfast was included.

Liked: The location was close to everything we wanted to see in Georgetown and close to a bus stop to see things outside of Georgetown as well. Nathan on the front desk was also very nice accomodating.

Liked: Very freindly/helpful staff. Clean tidy, great location, drinks avaliable from reception 24 hrs and nice patio area to sit and relax inside and out. Air con in room worked a treat!

Liked: One of the staff was very helpful, when we didn't get the ticket for the boat to Langkawii, he helps me with finding other people who also want to go there to share a taxi and let me know another cheaper flight which always fly between Malaysia and Thailand not well known for me. But other guys are not as friendly as I wished. Still recommend, rooms are clean and very comfortable.

Liked: Great location, only about 10 mins walk from KOMTAR, for those who are coming in by RapidPenang local bus from Sungai Nibong Coach Terminal, where most coaches from other Malaysian cities stopped in Pulau Penang. Also near to Chowrasta Market, where you can have Chinese food for breakfast early in the morning. Staffs were helpful. also got us another room when we realised the bathroom light was not working properly. Room was clean, air-conditioned. Need to pay for internet though. Pretty safe, the main metal gate to the building was locked at night, and there was a staff on duty. Lack of information on travelling within Pulau Penang in the common area. In fact, we couldn't even find a Penang guidebook! Overall, good value for money.
