Liked: The hostel was in a great location, within walking distance to all the major sights. It was really clean when we arrived, although our room wasn't cleaned for the time we were there. However, we were given clean towels as soon as we asked for them. The free breakfast was good (toast and tea/coffee/juice) and the staff were really helpful. They sorted us out transport to KL really quickly and cheaply.

Liked: It was impeccably clean and the bathroom facilities were superb. The beds had proper mattresses and the free wi-fi is a real bonus for those with enabled laptops/PDAs/phones.

Liked: Beautiful place, nicely furnished rooms (not too big though), location is quite near the city center, staff is friendly and helpful. Common bath very clean as is the room.

Liked: Restful and tastefully restored colonial building in a quiet, ( for Penang ) street, only a few minutes walk to restaurants, food courts and shops.The staff were friendly immediately accommodating when our air conditioner unexplainably went on the blink late one evening...moved us to another room asap. The complementary light breakfast was most welcome as there are so many roti canais a traveller can eat!
