Liked: The staff are super friendly and will help you with anything. Listen to their advice and it will save you a fortune! The location is so close to the beach and the romms are cleaner than the room I stayed in at a 4* hotel. It is a sinple guest house but what more do you nedd when you spend all day on the beach!

Disliked: Nothing!

Liked: Very good bathroom - no leaking water at all!!! Very friendly and helpful staff, hooks in bathroom and bedroom to hang up clothes... fantastic... and only 20 steps to the beach.

Disliked: quitea poor building and rooms wich can use some maintanance. Not really cozy place.

Liked: Very close to the beach, very friendly staff, close to the night market and food courts. Cool drinks and beer is available in the hostel for a reasonable price and we were able to check in at 1am in the night.

Disliked: The fan rooms are extremely hot and every morning around 5.30am the muezzin from the mosque NEXT DOOR prays in a very high volume.

Liked: Really close to the beach. Really helpful guy at the desk. Magazines and books to flick through on the beach.

Disliked: It is close to a Mosque which has a very loud call to prayer at 5am in the morning. There also seemed to be loud conversations going on early in the morning.

Liked: The staff were very friendly and helpful with any queries we had. The location is good, close to the shops, hawker stalls and bus stop. Beach is less than a minute walk away.

Disliked: Rooms are very basic. Missed having a mirror and plug in the room. The location is directly behind a mosque which starts early in the morning making it very noisy.

Liked: The hostel location was excellent about 5 secs away from the beach, the beach had lots of watersport action. Nearby there are local restaurants/ bars and about a 5 minute walk are night markets stalls and food stalls. The hostel was very clean at all times and there was greet security at the hostel. The owners were always nice to us and would do anything to help, the owner even stayed up till 4am to make sure we got up for bus!

Disliked: i wouldn't say it was a dislike as it was exactly what we were looking for but it ist a party hostel, so if ur looking for that kind of atmosphere and to meet people I wouldn't chose this hostel. As we were a couple looking for chill our time before we thailand it was the perfect hostel for us.

Liked: The owner of the hostel is very nice. He opened the door for me when I came back the hostel at 2am.

Liked: It has a very nice location, just a hop and a skip and you're on the beach!

Disliked: There was a break in in the room of my friends, nothing was stolen, but it was obvious that people were there when we were out. When we came back, we found a condom in the bathroom :-S. The hostel is expensive for what you get. The air-co is neccesary, because it gets totally steamy in the rooms, but the airco is loud; we couldn't sleep of it... Also, the hostel is next to a mosk, and when you're in bad luck like we were, there are loud prayers sounding all day and even in the middle of the night.

Liked: the property is in an excellent location right next to the beach and about 5 minutes walk to the night markets, there are also lots of food places on the same road so you dont have to travel far. its easy to get to on the bus 101 but i reccomend getting the ferry from butterworth accross to george town as its quicker than the bus and on 1.2 ringets per adult.

Liked: We were sent to another guesthouse due to overbooking at E.T.We stayed in a hostel called Baba Guesthouse (right next to E.T and same owner). Cheap, but you get what you pay for. It's really loud, thin "walls", REALLY hot during day (fan rooms). But the beds are quite good and the staff is so helpful. The beach is 2 minutes away. Free internet and cheap food at the bar (the only bar, so do NOT go here if you want to party - like we wanted.........).

Liked: The beach is right outside the door and it is a five minute walk to town and a big hawker centre with amazing food. The people who own the hostel are really helpful and friendly. We were only meant to stay two nights, and ended up staying for five!

Liked: We found this hostel to be clean and the staff friendly. It is very close to the beach and local food stalls. We found it easily by following the instructions on this website. It should be noted that there are no self-catering facilities available to guests anymore. Also, the internet available is actually 3 houses down at Baba's Guesthouse. We would recommend this guesthouse to anyone that the beach and relaxing is the main focus of their trip to batu ferringhi.
