nice place in a great area. simple hostel but everything you need as penang is a place where you'll spend little time in your room anyway. will definately come back next time im in the area

The location of the hostel is very good, right opposite to the beach and the staff are friendly. However the accomodation is too basic for us and we would not stay here again

The owners and family...so nice and incredibly helpful. Very clean and in a super position right on the beach. Use of Wi Fi very good.
When i return to Penang, i will definatly think of Babas again

Safety, security and cleanliness. Good if you're looking for a quiet holiday or already have friends in Penang. If you're looking for a party, prob best to go to Georgetown.

We really enjoyed our stay at Baba House mainly cos the staff there were so accommodating and so friendly. It was a stone's throw from the beach and Baba House let you borrow their beach mats for use on the beach. It was right next to a row of restaurants and bars which was handy. The room we had had an attached bathroom but there were also rooms with shared bathrooms. It wasn't the most fanciful place we've stayed but it wasn't pretending to be either. Staff friendless more than made up for this!

Babas is amazing! Second time Ive stayed and they are lovely. Clean place, great advice and help from the baba family. would definately go back, because they are great.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. If we needed directions, new towels or an airport shuttle they were more than happy to help. When a room with a shower with hot water was available it was offered to us.
This was my first hostel experience and it was well worth the try.

It's in a great location right on the beach with plenty of places to eat along the beach. There is a great balcony area where you can meet other travellers and use free wifi facilities. Showers and toilets are always very clean and the staff are really friendly and even gave us a lift into town as one of us was unable to walk due to a food injury. We even enjoyed the singing/chanting from the Mosque!

It belongs to a lovely chinese family who actually live there but make you feel very welcome. Its basic but its clean, safe and a stones throw from the beach.

Excellent location 20 seconds walk to the beach & friendly staff. Discount on arrival! Next door mosque a bit noisy at times.

The family that run the hotel are unbelievably friendly. They even provide a taxi service themselves! The rooms are also extremely clean and the bathrooms are reasonably sized and good. I would highly recommend this hostel.
