Liked: The hostel owner was lovely, extremely helpful. We arrived 2 hours later than our already late expected arrival time and she waited up and then appologised for the taxi drivers incompetancy (clearly not her fault). very quirky little place that was walking distance from the centre.

Disliked: there was only one toilet and shower, which didnt pose much of a problem because the hostel wasnt busy while we were there

Liked: I like the athmosphere here, so homy. And the owner are so helpfull and friendly. I like there is bike rental facilities here, and free internet also. The bed and bathroom are clean.

Disliked: only the mosquitos

Liked: It's a cheap accomodation not too far from the city center and key sights. I had a big room for actually 10 people on my own. For just one night it's not the worst choice in Malacca as it is so cheap!

Disliked: It seems like the hostel just moved from a place two doors away to this place and that's why everything looked like a wild collection of stuff to give travellers a place to stay. In the end it's like home stay because the family lives in the ground floor while the dorms are on first floor and you share the toilet and the shower (seperated) with them. If you don't mind this than this might be your choice. On the other hand, I felt not too safe espacially because no lockers are provided and the street looks a little bit remote. So female travellers should look for another hostel as there are more central ones.

Liked: Cheap place to stay, only 5-10 mins walk from the city centre, Free washing Machine and WIFI which was really useful. Very helpful staff.

Disliked: Mosquito netting is not completed on the dorm rooms all of which had large gaps at the top and bottom of the walls which allowed them in. No nets provided we had to go out and buy some after being eaten alive.

Liked: Really cheap, good location.

Disliked: Rooms are not separated by full walls, so you hear too well others over the wall. Uncomfortable for example if at 7am someone talks very loudly on a phone ( Happened to me) and turns on the light. Only muslim toilet.

Liked: The property had a nice, although slightly weird atmosphere, that makes it a nice backpacking place. Facilities are great (although more than one shower would make it an even better place), with full kitchen at disposal and some place to hang around. Nothing fancy though.

Disliked: It is not exactly a luxury place. Staff friendliness makes up for this, but it is suitable for backpackers only.
