Liked: This is a really cosy guesthouse!! The staff is extremely friendly! They help you where they can! Alan And Sam are great! There is a common room where everybody sits together, you can rent bicycles, You have enough space in the dorm to leave al your things, everybody has a plug and there are security lockers! I feel very safe here! Alan takes care about who comes in and out! The wifi works really good! I feel at home here!

Disliked: There are no mosquito nets...

Liked: The rustic character and friendly vibe of Jalan-Jalan makes the place a welcome oasis in the heart of backpacker land. I only booked in for two nights initially, but Jalan-Jalan is so pleasant that I ended up staying for five! The staff are ever-present and friendly and the atmosphere is conducive to meeting other travellers. It is also super-cheap!

Liked: Lee & Sam were so helpful & friendly and I met lots of other backpackers, so even though I was travelling alone, i had a fantastically sociable time, with several shared meals and people to hang out with in Melacca! Great location and I liked the originality of the building.

Disliked: Can't think of anything I disliked!

Liked: Sam, was a fantastic host, nothing was too much trouble. The common room is a great way to meet other guests and with free tea and coffee and use of washing machine this place has everything. Location is brilliant with everything easy to get to. Loads of good food and drink to be had around. Definitely one to visit over the weekend

Disliked: No mosquito nets in the dorms.

Liked: Everything. Soo clean. Modern concrete floors. Cool interior decorating. Great common area couches, computers, books & games. Bikes to rent made our stay soo much fun. It's soo ridiculously affordable I couldn't leave! I usually only stay a few days but didn't leave for a week.

Liked: Stay here. The price is right, Sam is really helpful, the location is perfect, and the rooms and dorms are basic but really nice.

Disliked: Included breakfast (bread and toaster) would be nice

Liked: Sam is a great guy and if you don't get on with him you have a problem. It is in a great position, and in the middle of China town with great food every where. I would always come back.

Liked: Very very close to the perfect hostel. Sam is just fun and very helpful. Dorm without bunk beds! Nice common area. Great vibe. Everything very clean. Hot shower. Easy to meet other travelers. Go there! THANKS SAM!

Liked: Everything! Sam was so helpful, he invited us to a party on our first night where we had a bbq and the chance to meet some really nice locals. free tea and coffee all day was a massive plus! great atmosphere.

Liked: Jalan Jalan was perfectly simple, it had everything you need, Sam (the owner) is great and really helpful. Location is perfect too. For the price it's pretty much perfect.

Liked: I loved my stay at Jalan jalan and will return again. The staff were so welcoming and friendly and the rooms very comfortable. Excellent value for money. Also nice to have nice external and internal sitting areas. Free coffee and tea. Wonderful place.

Liked: This was an awesome place. Its really close the center of town. Sam was a great host.
