Liked: Chris (the owner) was great - very friendly & helpful. There was a great common area so it was very easy to meet other travelers. Toast, jam, coffee, and tea is available throughout the day.

Liked: I wouldn't stay anywhere else, this place is the best. Some places are so impersonal, but at Nomads I Felt like I was part of the family as soon as I walked in the door. Its close to everything, clean, safe not to mention that I had so much fun. Chris has created the most amazing place, he is so genuinely helpful. Do your self a favor & stay there when your in Kuching.

Liked: Location and facilities are good, but staff is great! Had a lot of fun with the staff and other guests in this hostel and if I'd go back to Kuching, I'd visit this hostel again for sure.Great place to stay and a real home away from home. Thanks a lot guys!

Liked: The pancakes for breakfast were tasty. But that is the only positive thing.

Disliked: When I had my clothes washed they were worse than before, half wet and bad smelling.

Liked: In a good location for the sights and restaurants in Kuching

Disliked: When we arrived after check-in time the room was not ready so we went for a walk around town. When we returned we found that our on suite room had a dirty bathroom with no sink, a hair clogged shower and and a cockroach. No sink meant we had to leave the room to brush teeth and wash hands- not what you expect for ensuite description. Hygiene was non existent throughout hostel with ants in the kitchen and breakfast area and smoking was allowed throughout the hostel. Bedrooms have thin temporary walls so you can hear everything. Our room was on top floor and next to a lounge which had DVD's playing till very late so couldn't get any sleep. We only stayed 2 of our 5 nights and staff were rude when explained why we were leaving and only gave us half of the money back for the remaining 3 nights. If you like all night partying then stay here, if you want some sleep go somewhere else. At RM93.5 a night it wasn't cheap either.

Liked: It was in a good location.

Disliked: I felt my room, a single, for just under USD20.00 was overpriced compared to the ensuite doubles which were not that different in price yet much more user friendly.

Liked: I liked staying here and the breakfasts were always nice and had fruit on offer everyday. The only bad thing was that they don't know much about trips, day tours etc. They only have their own longhouse trip but it was a custom trip and was over 3-4 days and only goes when the guy running it wants to go.

Liked: The staff at this hostel are fantatsic and the 24 hours breakfast is handy. Everything about this hostel is fantastic except actually sleeping. We had booked a double room. Our room had no window and the walls were paper thin. All night we could clearly hear people walking up and down, talking, sneezing and playing music. Due to the walls being so thin there is just no noise barrier. We only stayed at this hostel for one night although we were booked in for 6 nights. We had to go somewhere else as we just couldn't sleep.
