Liked: the only good thing is the rooftop, and true the building is actually nice, colonial like.

Disliked: But except for the rooftop, everything else was bad. We had a reservation for a double bed room, but when we arrived, we had been told that our room was not available, and they did not know about our booking. Finally they offered us a bunk bed room, really small and filthy. Same thing happened to 3 other persons that arrived just after us,and unfortunately for them, they did not get any room. The staff was unfriendly, and unhelpful. No hot water (even if they say there was, it was apparently broken), no wifi working, the beds were broken, so barely used the upper bed !!! could have fell through it !!! I dont recommend this guest house at all !!!!

Liked: Nice characterful building, but it could be so muh beter if some effort went into it.

Disliked: The place had bedbugs............the sheets and walls were covered in stains from bedbugs and i had to move out of the room after just 1 night. also I was charged more booking thru hostelbookers than if i booked in person via phone/email. Not that i mind this, but hostelbookers made no mention of a booking fee.

Liked: we arrive at 4am and they let us wait there until check in time and near it there are a lot of cheap places to eat!

Liked: Good location in Chinatown to get in/out of KL and good value for money. Strongly recommend an A/C room rather than fan because of heat and humidity.

Disliked: Quite dirty floors/ceilings, but KL is a dirty city. The entrance is down a tiny side street behind hawker stalls and is a bit difficult to find for first time. Also smells of Chinese food every time you enter/exit (fortunately I like Chinese food).

Liked: The location was good as all major tourist sights were in walking distance and China town was good. The price was also cheap so we got what we paid for.

Disliked: The room was very small and hot with a loud fan. There was also a smell throughout the whole hostel

Liked: location is very good. 10min walk to train. shopping area and eating places very near. roof area is ok.

Disliked: there was some bugs and bit noise. bed wasn't best one. if you have to sleep long and tight.. this is not your place.

Liked: The character of the old building is nice. Has a nice balcanoy overlooking a busy street, nice place to drink and spend the night in. Just the right value for money spent. They can improve on the quality of beddings though. :)

Liked: This place has character; in a nice building (inside anyway!) with ornate furnature around. Yes its an old building but the shared bathroom was very clean and new. The sheets were clean and not a bump in the matress!

Liked: Location of the hostel is down a poorly lit alley, with a couple of outdoor smelly Chinese kitchens going full steam!! The hostel itself is adequate, clean enough but we found the staff were far from approachable. The room we had was ok with fan, however the lighting was poor and there was a severe lack of storage space, which we found to be a major pain as we stayed there 4 nights, too long to be living out of a rucksack!?All in all is good value for money if you just want somewhere to crash for a couple of nights!

Liked: The building has a bit of age and style about it , things k.l. doesnt have a lot of, also its in chinatown probably the best all around location in k.l.

Liked: Conveniently located in the heart of China town, all other facilities were located nearby (restaurants, transport, shops). The atmosphere in the area is extremely lively and pleasant. The building itself was plenty of character with a hint to its previous destination (Chinese warehouse).

Liked: every think all very good but would be very nice in respects if? there where hot water for showering and a microwave but this hostel was just fantastic it had this freindy attitudes and the staff was wonderfull etc great times brilliant spirts lovely friends that i made wonderbar dave
