Liked: It's basic but clean. Really helpful and friendly man (presuming owner) running the reception. Rooms are cheap and include free toast in the morning and free teas and coffes all throughout the day!

Liked: Great low key guest house, clean and quiet. Bathrooms are private and nice, free teas, coffees, and toast and jam breakfast. Dorm rooms are big and comfortable, had a nice stay and I would recommend this to anyone and everyone. Same or better than Raggae in all ways - except for the showers, Raggae has great showers, but Matahari is just fine indeed. Thanks for a great stay!

Liked: Nettes, freundliches und kompetentes Personal. Tolle Tipps über Ausflugsziele und Sehenswürdigkeiten. Die Unterkunft war zentral in der Nähe von China Town.Wir, Familie, würden dort wieder übernachten.

Liked: literally opposite the train station, quiet rooms, very clean and super friendly staff who really made our stay!!

Liked: Super nice and helpful staff. Great location just outside the Pasar Seni light rail station. Rooms are small with no window, kept cool with a fan that blows air in from the A/C in the hallways. Shared bathrooms are not clean. Overall if they maintained the bathrooms to a higher standard, it would be a near flawless budget guesthouse.

Liked: Location is very good. A new hotelbuilding is raising on the other side of the street just opposite Matahari. That´s a pity. Matahari is silent and clean in its class.The same day I left Matahari Lodge footballplayer David Beckham arrived in my hometown, Turku, in Finland and I took landing in the same day as his wive Victoria. That´s why I allways remember Matahari Lodge!

Liked: Very good place with extremely sweet and helpful staff.Nice and spacious rooms. Really good location, station near by.Has washing machines and tumble driers which is fantastic for longterm backpackers.Just a really good place with a very homely atmosphere. We loved it there.

Liked: Good location - close to the skytrain and central market. Chinatown is also just around the corner where there are lots of market stalls and places to eat. The hostel has friendly staff, a nice lounge area where you can watch tv and access free wifi, and helpful info regarding further travel and tours etc.My room had no window, so it was a little dark. But as far as just having somewhere to sleep and meet some new people, it was great for its purpose. Would reccommend :-)

Liked: We thought the staff were fantastic and very helpful! Our bedroom was simple but clean. They need to clean the toilet/shower rooms more often, which is the only bad thing about this hostel.
