Liked: The cleanest hostel I have ever stayed in, in my 10 years of travelling. I have never seen a mop so frequently in all of my life! The staff Sean and Ashley are unbelievably friendly, helpful and welcoming. They're working all the time yet always have time for a chat. Good location too in the thick of China Town with good public transport connections to the whole city and beyond. The communal lounge room as well is just chilled out and homely - perfect for when you need some down time.

Disliked: The only thing was that the noise of other people not being quite, slamming doors etc can be heard from your room. I am a light sleeper though.

Liked: The common area was great, just sitting with you laptop, watch a movie or just chill and the atmosphere was great. The hostel was very clean and the staff was great. Would definitely come back.

Disliked: There were no windows in the room, so it was just as dark when you tried to wake up as when you went to bed.

Liked: Very clean and conveniently close to LRT station. Staff are friendly.

Disliked: It's in Chinatown, so it's a bit crowded outside at times.

Liked: Its location - 11/10 and the VERY GOOD staff

Disliked: One or two of the guests were self centered...BUT this is nothing to do with the very good staff.

Liked: Location was very good, right by the Central Market. Shaun was very helpful and friendly and even put the Man Utd V Chelsea game on for us.

Liked: The bathroom/shower area felt a little bit private even though it was shared and at the same time there was a great common area. Staff was very nice and helpful. Had free computer with internet that we could use! Close to everything, can really recommend!

Disliked: we had the room closest to the street and since there's a bus station right outside there was a lot of noise in the mornings.

Liked: well located next to public transport, easy to find, breakky in the morning, clean rooms and bathrooms

Disliked: reception on the 3rd floor ;-)

Liked: The location is superb. It's just a minute walk from LRT Station, opposite the central market and a block away from the famous Petaling Street.

Disliked: The airconditioning system. There are some airconditioners in the corridor of the second floor. The cool air they produce is then distributed to room using exhaust fans. This is not very comfortable.

Liked: Location: It is very close to Pasar Seni station.

Liked: Clean rooms, plenty of showers, extremely helpful staff, secure building with combination keypad.

Disliked: Slightly difficult to meet people - rooms on two of the floors are accessible only by elevator, so a bit contained.

Liked: Nice staff. Sean in particular is a sound man who'll take the time to speak to anyone, plenty of travelling advice, Great location, right beside the LRT and Chinatown/ Little India. Good place to meet fellow travellers too. Overall good value for money.

Disliked: It got a bit rowdy on the third floor late at night whilst I was there, A few people drinking and being very loud - I'm beginning to sound like my Mum- but in the reception area right beside the bedrooms at 3 a.m. is taking the piss: the lad behind the counter said nothing to them. So you might ask for a room on the first or second floor to avoid that possibility.

Liked: We had a great stay here, we were in a double room which was nice and clean. Upstairs were the reception is and the tv is great, with comfy sofas, wifi, computers,dvd's and tv with loads of channels on it. Great place to meet other people. Would highly reconmmend!1 Ashley and Shaun were so good at helping with any questions you have.

Liked: Matahari lodge was an excellent place to stay in KL, located close to Chinatown and 1 minutes walk from the MRT. Staff were brilliantly helpful and could not do more for you.

Liked: Good location, close to the Central Market. Easy to find from the airport and you dont even have to use a taxi! Gob by Bus to Sentral and than it is only one station by train. Clean rooms and toilets. Rooms unfortunately without window, but I thinks thats the standard in KL. Internet/Wifi for free and breakfast (toast, tea, coffee). You dont even have to wash you own dishes..the staff does that..Secure feeling through doorcode and cameras. If you want to be social, you will meet some nice people/staff in the common area. Thumbs up!! Always again!

Liked: One of my favorite hostel! The location is the best. In the centre and the metro is just 1 min walk from the hostel and KL cental is just next stop. Also the staff is so friendly. I made a mistake with the booking and they are not complaining about it and change it.
