Liked: Room was clean

Disliked: That we always had to enter a code, to come in. Also if we just went to another floor. That after entering the code, the door hat a really laud alarm, witch wasn't rally great at night time since our room was next to the door!

Liked: Nice staff, good place to meet other travellers. Free internet use, lots of travel books en flyers.

Liked: It was very clean and close to many local restaurants where you can buy inexpensive but delicious food. My friend and I especially liked the Indian restaurant right below the hostel.

Disliked: Nothing major except that we didn't feel we were given enough attention meaning information about what to do, where to go, etc. The staff AND the cats weren't as friendly as we thought.

Liked: I enjoyed the free internet tremendously.

Disliked: This hostel is located in an extremely dodgy part of Kuala Lumpur. There are drug addicts and shady people lurking around outside the hostel doors and I definitely did NOT feel safe walking at night.

Liked: This hostel has a very homely atmosphere and is great to meet other travellers as the cheap rates attract a lot of people. The staff were friendly and informative, answering any questions that I asked of them and they also run tours through an affiliated tour agency in Kuala Lumpur. The hostel is clean enough, although I did see a hook worm during my stay and the staff ask you to remove your shoes when you walk around the hostel, so I would advise wearing socks. Lockers are provided but you need to bring your own lock. For the rates that the hostel charges, I cannot complain too much.

Disliked: There is no lock on the door, allowing anyone to walk into your room. As long as your valuables are in the lockers provided this should not be too much of a concern though. The hostel is located in Chow Kit, which itself is a complete dump and it is located outside of the city centre about 2kms away from the Petronas Towers, the centre of Kuala Lumpur really. However the useful MRT which is also cheap is very near to the hostel, allowing easy access to the city.

Liked: it's ok for the room and place.

Disliked: during 6-7 feb..there are no water for shower and everything..but the problem not from hostel ..

Liked: staff were very friendly and helpful, location good, very close to monorail and local shops/eating areas, lots of information available on local attractions and how to reach them, free wireless internet, free breakfast, place clean, tidy and secure.

Liked: Stayed in a twin room-really clean, friendly staff, 2min walk from the monorail station- would stay there again!

Disliked: There are no windows in the whole hostel- no fresh air + dark rooms

Liked: Free internet and a clean towel. it's also very close to the monorail which will you get you most places. however, if you like to walk, it's not too far to walk the entire city if you've got time (as in hours) to get around. it's also just next to a wet market, and there is a kitchen (but you cannot store food, only cook-and eat- it).

Disliked: it's in a dirty slummy location, but the property itself is not dirty or slummy. just be careful at night (as always).

Liked: There were a lot of other travelers and a nice room where you could check your email on one of the four computers, read a book or a watch one of the dvd's they had.

Disliked: There where two cats that are walking really everywhere, if you are allergic for cats then do not go here and there was no key of our room so that did not gave us a safe feeling.

Liked: This place was cute, small and friendly. The kitchen was a nice change, but it would have been better if there was a fridge. The cats were cool, especially the orange one!

Disliked: It had a strong smell of moth balls - the smell is still not out of my clothes.

Liked: Near Chow kit market (good food!) and a homely setting with living room

Disliked: The cleaning staff that decided to clean the room at 6.30 in the morning and turned the light on.....

Liked: This is one of the best hostels I've stayed in. The location is excellent, it's VERY clean, and the staff is extremely helpful. There are four PCs with a decent internet connection, and wifi throughout the hostel. It's a great place to stay while you're planning out your next great adventure, or just to chill and hang out with the cats for a while.

Disliked: Try to book the 10 bed dorm, it has AC (as opposed to the 4 bed dorm, which only has a ceiling fan).

Liked: Really great hostel, clean and quiet. This is our third time staying here and we have enjoyed it every time. Free Internet and lots of good information about KL available. Good place to meet other travellers and lots of cheap and delicious food close by. The hostel cats are really nice and give the hostel a homey feel! Thanks, we will be back!
