Liked: the staff were nice and very helpful, great location, and the lobby and dorms were very comfortable. Even though the dorms were fan-cooled with air con, it was definitely sufficient to sleep comfortably.

Disliked: The only downside is that there aren't many bathrooms for the dorms, so sometimes there's a bit of a wait at high traffic times, and the street outside turns into a very crowded night market every evening, so you have to dodge tourists, locals and hawkers to get back at night.

Liked: Location is fantastics, write on petaling street the heart of china town. The only thing is that the rooms are a bit tiny and walls thin (you can sometimes hear the person in the next room). But overall a good place to stay it will recommend it

Liked: I'm not entirely sure what everyone else is talking about. When I went to stay at Hotel Chinatown 2, I found the staff very unapproachable and even rude! The location was okay. It is in the middle of the Chinatown market (hence the name). Of course with a location like that, lots of noise is pretty much unavoidable. This hostel was also one of the first that I stayed at that actually made guests pay to use the internet (which was very overpriced compared to surrounding internet cafes). On top of that, my dorm was never cleaned the whole four days I was there. Maybe I just had a bad experience because I stayed in the dormitories instead of an actually room, but I cannot recommend this hostel to anyone looking for a place to stay in KL.

Liked: The property was n a good location and was very clean. However, i would not recommend the 2 bed dorm as it was essentially in the reception of the hotel with partition walls that didnt even reach the floor or ceiling. We didn't manage to sleep at all as the reception was very noisy what with the piano being played (badly by guests) until 2 am. Also the lights from reception meant that the 'room'was very bright. You could also hear everyone moving around and going to the toilet all night. Very overpriced for what it was.

Liked: The hotel feels clean and welcoming and was although staying in a dorm room it was quiet and comfortable. I would recommend it to anyone thinking of staying in KL for a few days. It is easy to find and close to the monorail station, which made it exceptionally easy to get to from the airport. Plus the China town market on the street outside gives it a great atmosphere if arriving at night like i did.

Liked: Extraordinarily clean and tidy, nice lounge with a TV, very helpful and friendly staff. The place does have a slightly middle-age feel to it - though there are backpackers, the atmosphere is pretty quiet and subdued.

Liked: The staff were really nice and the 2 bed dorm was clean and comfortable, if a little spare. The lobby is air-conditioned and comfortable, it's easy to meet people there in the evenings, and beer is relatively cheap for Malaysia. The staff will also help you find things in KL and around if you need information. The only problem is that the two bed dorm has no locks and is really just screened off from the other dorm rooms, so be prepared to leave your luggage at the desk or in the safe when you leave for the day if you are worried about theft. Getting to the hostel and away can be a pain if you don't want touts asking you to buy watches and dvds, since it's in the middle of the Chinatown market, but if you like the market atmosphere, this place is great. You're right in the middle of the hustle and bustle.

Liked: Nice place to stay, centrally located, clean with nice enough staff. Be wary of staying on the 5th floor though as it is generally noisy from the hotel services located above on the 6th floor and the air con generator comes on @ 6am which woke me up on 2 mornings including new years day. We checked out the next day even though they did offer to change our room, we just wanted to move on at that stage. I would stay here again if it was on a lower floor but i think there is probably better value to be had elsewhere.
