Liked: Clean, light and bright. Mr Lee is very happy to help. There is a water purifier which makes obtaining drinking water much easier. Even though it is further from town, Mr Lee often offers to give a lift. The other plus is that it is in a quiet location.

Disliked: The wet bathroom floor.

Liked: Clean and comfortable. The family room was spacious. great range of facilities, especially the kitchen. The host, mr Lee, was wonderful. He would take us into town and pick us up when we were ready and organised boat tickets.

Liked: The guesthouse was clean and quiet and had all the amenities that you need for a short stay available. Mr Lee was fantastic. He picked us up at the airport, took us into town and picked us up as well as arranged our boat transfer to the islands.

Disliked: It was quite a distance from the main shopping area, so you weren't able to walk. But Mr Lee made up for that by offering to drop us off and pick us up at a certain time.

Liked: Lee was extremely welcoming. Upon our arrival he picked us up from the airport, took us back to the accomodation and let us settle in. He then offered to drop us off into town to take a walk around and pick us up whenever we rang to let him know we were ready. The accomodation was clean with plently of space. The fridge was stocked with beer (a winner for any Aussie) and we were served with an unexpected full continental breakfast in the morning.Lee obviously takes a lot of pride in ensuring his guests enjoy their stay. If we ever have the change to visit Kotu Bharu again, we will be sure to book at Lee's Guesthouse!!!

Liked: Our host, Mr. Lee was most helpful with travel (train) advice and transport. He picked us up from the airport, drove us into town and picked us up and dropped us at the train station to catch the 4am train! (And we only stayed overnight!) The Guesthouse is extremely clean and comfortable and exceedingly cheap.

Liked: Mr Lee is very kind and helpful and punctual - he will pick you up at the airport, drop off and pick up in Kota Bharu, organise transport and tickets to the Perhentians etc.; his guesthouse is a little out of town, but this is no hindrance at all. We recommend anyone to stay at Lee's Guesthouse.

Liked: Mr. Lee was one of the most helpful person we ran into on our travels. Place was comfortable and clean. Lots of breakfast and not just toast and jam. I would definately recommend it to other travelers. It is just a bit far away from the city but has many food stalls around. We also ran into troubles with our supposed pre-arranged transportation. Thankfully Mr. Lee worked everything out for us (and I believe gave some people s**t) and we were able to carry on. Thanks Mr. Lee for all the help.

Liked: Very, very good guesthouse which I would recommend to anyone when visiting Khota Bahru. The owner - Mr. Lee - is the most helpful person whe've met during our entire trip in Malaysia!

Liked: The owner is very, very friendly and helpfull. He picked us up, afther our call that we couldn't find it. The rooms are nice and clean.If you don't have a car, the place is a bit far from center.

Liked: We just stayed there for one night, for that it was perfect. Mr. Lee was very friendly, picked us up from the Airport, and arranged everything so we could continue our trip to the Perhentian Islands the next day. We haven't seen much from the area as we arrived very late, but the house was very clean.

Liked: We stayed one night at Lee guesthouse. The room was clean and quite comfortable. Lee was very friendly and helped us to arrange a visit to the Tumpat Thai temples. Then, the day after he arranged a taxi to Kuala Besut for us. We paid RM40 for the airport pick up, maybe a little bit more expensive than a taxi but he then gave us a lift to downtown and picked us up again at night. He even gave us a SIM card to call him in order to arrange the pick up at night! I'd recommend this hostel!

Liked: Clean rooms and bathroom, very friendly & helpful host, free internet usage and full supply of food and drink available. Mr Lee is an amazing host who goes out of his way to ensure his guests enjoy their stay. We would definitely stay again.

Liked: We stayed here one night on our way to Perhentians and were the only guests. As Mr. Lee is a fantastic host, it feels more like hospitality club or couch surfing. He gave us a ride to the center (necessary because it is not nearby), treated us with dessert and let us use internet and dvd's for free.

Liked: Mr Lee was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean. I think I stayed there latein the season so I was the only guest. I was travelling alone and felt completely safe here. Also Mr Lee picked me up from the airport and took me to the ferry making sure everything was sorted for me. I would definitely recommend this for people who are looking for somewhere to stay although not if they are looking for somewhere to party.

Liked: Mr Lee was very helpful. He even went to pick us up at the bus station, and also took us by car to eat typical food from Kota Bharu. The guest house is very clean and nice, in a quiet area.

Liked: Mr. Lee the hostel owner is a quiet man, but he will make sure that you are well looked after - we had our own car but with other guests staying there he would drop them around town as needed. He gave us a well laid out breakfast at whatever time we wanted. We had free internet access in the lounge area which was great to help us plan ahead. Also a big TV around sofas with cable TV and lots of DVDs you can watch. Mr. Lee gave us all the guides and leaflets we could have needed to help us get around and plan ahead and even booked a trip to the Perhentian islands for us. We would deffinateley recommend this hostel and would stay here again without a doubt. Our room was basic, but very clean and comfortable.

Liked: Mr Lee was extreemly helpfull, giving me lots of usefull information, also dropping me off and picking me up from several places, I was given short tour around the town. One time he loaned me a phone to phone if I got lost. Very helpfull indeed
