Liked: Good location, near to main street of Tanah Rata in the Cameron Highlands. Pretty garden at the front of the property.

Disliked: It looked OK on the internet when we booked ahead via HostelBookers for a two night visit in the Cameron Highlands, with a pretty garden and a public verandah to sit on. However, the double room with attached bathroom (Room 2) smelled of a mixture of cat pee, damp and sweaty feet. On our second night, someone in the next room was burning incense (presumably to get rid of the foul smell), which made our room smell better for a while as the smell wafted through the slatted windows. As other reviewers have noted, because the walls are so thin we could hear every noise, not only from adjoining rooms but from people on the verandah and passing cars in the street. The sheets on the bed were clean but stained, as was the one thin blanket. We asked for more pillows but there were none. We did manage to get two more stained blankets - which we needed as it was quite chilly in the evenings and overnight. The bathroom was so small you couldn't swing a rat around, never mind a cat. The shower provided hot water only as a dribble, which made showering difficult. There were no toiletries provided - only two shabby towels. As for the room furnishings - the bed, wardrobe and bedside cabinet - I have thrown away better furniture. Goodness only knows when the room was last painted. We paid extra for wifi access and specifically asked beforehand if the connection was fast. It wasn't - and when I mentioned this to the owner, he just shrugged his shoulders, so we spent a couple of hours each evening in Starbucks on the main street and used their free (much faster) wifi connection. I can safely say that this is the worst place I have ever stayed in my life.

Liked: Is nice for a place to sleep, but not much of an atmosphere. Staff were smiley, but not a huge help. Lost my kindle and asked I if they could check the room, but they didn't seem to care much :(

Liked: Lovely garden and pleasant sitting area under a verandah.

Disliked: Rooms are just partitioned off from each other so you can hear every sound in the other rooms.

Liked: We had a great room with bathroom, which was very clean. And staff were helpful when needed, would recommend it for those looking for somewhere quite to stay.

Disliked: No real atmosphere when we were staying there. It is more of a motel then backpackers. It also happened to be raining alot while we were there and there was nowhere really to sit except in our room or out on the verandah (which did get cold at night).

Liked: Room was clean, comfortable and had an ensuite bathroom. Tours offered had a very very good guide - I would highly recommend booking the Jungle Adventure 2 through twin pines - Shan the tour guide was very knowledgeable and really made our stay in Cameron Highlands! (Plus it was RM40 cheaper than the other tour agencies).

Disliked: Internet room was poor - (possibly the worlds first computer is available for use in a cupboard) internet cafe round the corner.

Liked: Clean. Good enough if you need only bed and hot shower.

Disliked: If it so happened that your neightbour is noisy, your night can be sleepless. But, it was really quite when I stayed there, as not all rooms are occupied.

Disliked: Bathroom facilities were appalling (primitave and never cleaned). Small room, very damp all the time.

Liked: Great location! Easily accessible from the main road in town, without any uphill walk. Near to C.S. Tours & Travel Service, which offers good tour packages around Cameron Highlands. Booked a double bed ensuite. Room was a little disappointing. Bedsheet and wardrobe were not very clean. The shower head was leaking. Nonetheless, the toilet/bathroom was very clean! Breakfast was not provided, but we found an Indian stall opened off the main road, as early as 6.30am.

Liked: Good location. Provided blankets and towels. They charge 10 RM for wifi which seemed unneccesary when so many guesthouses in Malaysia offer it for free. Quite expensive for what it is considering breakfast is not included.
