A beautiful atmosphere, extremely friendly hosts, very clean rooms and extraordinary food. Without a doubt the best place we have stayed in Borneo.
Overview
The only combined homestay and art gallery situated in a longhouse in Sarawak. Central location on top of a hill with a beautiful scenery of surrounding paddy fields and mountains. Operated by Bario born Kelabit Stephen and his Danish wife Tine.
Junglebluesdream is the only combined art gallery and home stay in a longhouse in Sarawak. The art gallery, which is also our living room, exhibits Stephens own paintings.
We occupy 3 units in the Ulung Palang Longhouse which is located centrally to all walks around Bario. The longhouse is on top of a hill, so from our balcony you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the surrounding paddy fields and mountains.
As it is important for us to take good care of our guests, we have chosen only to have two rooms which altogether can accommodate 3 persons.
If you choose to go trekking in the area we can suggest different alternatives suited to your wishes and make arrangements for guide.
