Liked: The city hostel is one of the few hostels in Skopje. It was clear that people in Macedonia are not yet really used to backpackers. However the owner of the hostel puts a lot of effort in making the hostel work. It look's a little like a guesthouse now. The beds are good, internet was working and the owner was very friendly. A little advice for him is that he maybe should use more colour in his hostel to make the atmosphere a little nicer. Besides that I would go there again if I was going to Macedonia sometimes soon.

Liked: Was very cosy, and I was given my own private room as the hostel was not full. Staff were very helpful, even allowing me to sleep during the day after I had checked out, whilst waiting for a trian. The breakfast was also very yummy, and a welcome differentiation from the bread and cheese I had been having in every other hostel.

Liked: city hostel lies close to the center of skopje. about the shoping mall and resturants are all close by. the service is also very good and the information from the owners are very good as they gave us advice where to go and what to see. and we were all satisfied with the advices of places to go to.
