Liked: The staff is very helpful and informative. He gave valuable information about places to visit, bus ticket price and even helped me to book a taxi to Thessaloniki. I like the 24hr reception because I arrived close to midnight. The free morning breakfast is good too. The room is warm even during winter.

Disliked: It is about 10-15min walk from the bus station but it is not too bad if you have light luggage. It is still reasonable close to centre of attraction by foot.

Disliked: the property was fine, it's Skopje that's not much fun. definitely recommend Lake Matka if you're in Skopje!

Liked: Owner is fantastic, very knowledgeable and helpful about things to do in and around Skopje and Macedonia. Location is great, walking distance to most things, and taxis are very cheap anyway.

Disliked: No locks from outside, but the area seems very safe. Lockers are in the stairwell for valuable items though.

Liked: Especially the guy who run the place, as the other reviewers says, make this the best place the best hostel in Skopje.

Liked: Good value, good location near the train/bus stations AND city center, staff was nice and very helpful.

Disliked: Really quite impossible to find. If you're coming from the train/bus station, just follow the signs for Art Hostel all the way. City Hostel is like 4 houses down from Art Hostel.

Liked: This is one of the best hostels I have ever stayed at!! Centrally located next to the best neighborhood in Sarajevo. The bar across the street was awesome!!! It was also one of the cleanest hostels I have ever stayed at. The two brothers running the hostel were amusing and very helpful. Awesome place to stay while in Sarajevo.

Disliked: no real problems, a minor problem at start when we booked a double private room and got 2 single beds, really wanted double after 6 months of traveling in single beds, the guy changed our booking and tried to charge the same price for less facilities, however with a fw mins talks and a rest everything was sorted and we managed to get our original room. after this the rest of the stay was fine

Liked: Owner of the hostel is helpful.City Hostel location is close to the city center.Also it has beautiful atmosphere with other visitors.Owner is work for to simprove our comfert.He made us Turkish Tea and a good breakfast in the morning.Also he helped to enter the best night club in Skopje.Thanks

Liked: This is a top rate hostel. What makes it that way is the inn owners effort to make you not only accommodated, but his wishes to help you enjoy Skopje and Macedonia as well. He went the extra distance to ensure one was taken care of.

Disliked: Breakfast could have been alittle better. The bread was stale and a little cheese or meat may have compensated for the bread. Otherwise, eatable.

Liked: The hostel staff is friendly. We booked for the wrong date but haphazardly there was a room available in the neighbour's house. The staff helps you also to call cheap taxi's. The terrace in the garden is great.

Disliked: The hostel is a little bit out of location.

Liked: Staff extremely friendly and helpful. A good breakfast avaliable. Close to town and good atmosphere

Disliked: Hard to follow the map to the property as we were not allowed to leave the train station via the exit meant (the bus station) and therefore ended up the long way round.

Liked: Really friendly and helpful owner who was often around to answer questions and offer advice. Also free tea and coffee (even with fresh milk!) and a pretty good shared kitchen. The walk into town isn't arduous, but it's not that central.

Liked: Owner very helpful. Great free breakfast and internet. Comfy bed and very comfy pillow so I had a great night sleep. Great shower pressure but you have to hold the showerhead as with most Eastern European hostels. Hostel is clean but an older building so much different to other Eastern European hostels on offer for a siilar price. Having said that I think it is the best you will get in Skopje.
