Liked: Really close to town (if you don't mind the killer hills--although they're unavoidable in Ohrid). Staff were just so lovely, they let me hang out and use whatever I needed in the hostel while I was waiting for my night bus. Free bread, eggs, tea and coffee were awesome. Hostel sort of became a bit like home, it was rad.

Disliked: Top floor shower seems to have hot water issues, as does the kitchen sink.

Liked: If you are looking for a laid back hostel this is the place. I met a number of travelers who planned on 4 days and stayed 4 weeks. Since there are no real choices for a hostel in Orhid, this is the place. The beds are good, room size ranges from good to better in dorm depending on how many beds. I recommend the 8 bed dorm on the second floor. The breakfast is good which is cereal, coffee, eggs which you prepare as you like.

Disliked: The cooking area is smallish and can become very crowded. The burner tops take forever to heat up. The fridge needs replacing because the beverages or food never really stays cold. They could use more actual seating instead of benches but this is a personal observation. These are not complaints but observations for others.

Liked: Great hostel! The staff super friendly and nice. They made every ones stay fun.

Disliked: Nothing I dislike except that the neighbors are a pain in the neck. Always complaining about the noise

Liked: Best hostel i've ever stayed in. You go there for two nights and end up staying longer. Great staff, very relaxed atmosphere, good people and the lake is just as good as the coast. Loved every minute of my stay here.

Liked: Great place to stay. Really relaxed atmosphere, great staff. I would stay here again and recommend this place to anyone. The guys make you feel at home.

Liked: Everything! The people who were there were fantastic and so friendly and helpful! It was like a home from home I just felt comfortable straight away! The atmosphere was great!!

Disliked: That I had to leave because my trip was over! There was nothing to dislike!

Liked: Very central hostel, great for all places in Ohrid

Disliked: We found the hostel a bit chaotic and not well organised. For the amount of people staying there, the hostel could do with some more bathrooms and showers. Also a breakfast a bit of a free for all, we went up at 9am and all the food had gone. As a couple the double room was not very nice, I would recommend couples to book into one of the many guesthouses in the town

Liked: Fantastic atmosphere, great guys that own it, really central. Fab outside area with hammocks. Not worried about check out time!!!

Liked: probably the best hostel i've ever stayed at. wonderful ambiance. the kind staff (nino and the other guy - sorry, i forget your name - are super sweet). they make sure to show you around, help you with whatever needs you have and they spend time socializing with you. they will even make sure you have a nice blanket to keep you warm if you pass out on the couch. relaxed atmosphere with plenty of places to relax and hang with others, either on hammocks outside, on the balcony, in the living room or in the kitchen. bedrooms are perfectly set up. strong sturdy bunkbeds with storage underneath and big lockers. clean hostel. breakfast consists of eggs (that you make yourself), tomatoes, coco puff type cereals and whatever coffee/tea you can find. very nice communal feeling.

Disliked: nothing.

Liked: The brothers that run the hostel are great! Beware: almost everyone who was there extended their stay by a day or two because it was so welcoming and great - you might as well just plan on staying longer.

Liked: Location great, Staff was excellent. Beds were very good with lockers. Information provided was good. We defo recommend to stay here!!

Disliked: Nothing about the hostel. Just when you get into orchid at the bus station taxi drivers will try and charge you 5 euro to get to the hostel and others will try and take you to other hostels and say sunny is shut. Its an easy 20 min walk and there is street sign that point you inot the centre of town.

Liked: An excellent hostel experience. It is a bit of party hostel hostel as per other reviews but the noises are well contained and the bedrooms are deadly quiet with no noise from downstairs at all. If you want to relax and not take part in all night drinking that this is quite possible too, Owners are very nice and helpful and go out of their way to assist. Lovely communal lounge, very fast wifi that is all over the property. Beds are very comfy. In the very centre of town and the lake is a 10 min walk away.

Disliked: Very tough to find initially up a steep hill and tucked away. No problems once you know where it is though!.

Liked: the place had a good kitchen, good kitchen and was a great place to meet people with a few parties

Disliked: because of the many parties, the hostel was very dirty. Dust allergies beware. The staff were busy resting their eyes after each night without cleaning. also, this made the hostel very nosiy if you chose to have a quiet one and not join in for the third night in a row.

Liked: Gyoko was wonderful. So were the staff for the boat tours.

Disliked: Bathrooms were not so clean - always smelled bad. More storage space in 4 bed dorm rooms would be good.

Liked: Gyoko the manager is amazing, he makes sure that you're well informed and looked after. I stayed for 2 nights and he seems to be working 24/7! You don't have to worry about cleanliness as the dorms are super fresh and beds ready made with clean sheets on arrival. The location is superb, as you're in the centre of the old town, a stones throw from the lake and a few footsteps from the supermarket, farmers market, restaurants etc. There is a nice garden out the back where you have free use of the barbeque. There is also free WiFi, free breakfast, and the free view of the lake and mountains from the balcony also included! Stay here, it's the only decent hostel in Ochrid. Gyoko, don't work too hard!

Disliked: Shower on 1st and 2nd floor are a little dodgy, but the shower on the ground floor works perfectly.

Liked: Amazing balconies, garden, views and location. The owner is a really nice guy and good fun. The beds are comfy and the hostel has a really chilled out athmoshpere!

Liked: This is an excellent hostel, located centrally and in easy reach of everything. The bloke who runs it is both friendly and helpful. He even provide you with a heater if the weather is cold. Good free fast wifi too.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: The staff was absolutely wonderful, the rooms were spacious, nice, and clean, and the free breakfast was nice. The location was excellent as well, and the balcony has a great view of the lake. The common room was great too-- TV, guest computers, couches-- it had it all. Definitely stay here!
