 The owner is incredibly friendly, helpful (he leant me money when my credit cards stopped working) and speaks good English; the place is very clean and well run; there is even a separate kitchen, including an oven; there is a good common room as well as a garden area, and the location is fantastic - two minutes from the main street and three minutes from the lake. Absolutely first-rate; possibly the best hostel I've stayed in yet.

Cleanliness, Location, the staff (Sampo is tops!) and of course THE BEDS!!!!! So wonderful, hard to leave and get moving again after such a wonderful stay! Highly recommended to anyone and even if you weren't hinking about heading to Ohrid, you should now!

Sambo and his staff do a great job at running the hostel. Good location in the old city with a view over the lake and a 20-30min walk from the bus station.

Great location, once you've found the place. We were lucky enough to meet the owner on the way, otherwise I don't think we would have been able to find the hostel on our own. Free wifi and well equipped kitchen were a bonus, but more eating space was needed. The guests tend to be very noisy - it's a bit of a party hostel. Very comfy beds. There wasn't a lot of information on Ohrid on offer, so come prepared knowing what you want to do. Overall though a good place to stay.

One of the best hostels I've stay in, it was still under summer renovation and there was only a handfull of us that still wanted to stay regardless of renovations and we had the best time!!! When this place is in full swing you will not want to leave!!

it was still not ready jet, but the boy who runs it, loves what he is doing. nice people and a wonderful view over lake ohrid. i havend been to another place there but would always go back to this hostel...

Sampo (owner) is a very friendly guy- he came to meet me at the bus station and walked me back to the hostel, which could have been a little bit difficult to find.

Sampo the hostel owner has created a really relaxed easy going, fun, hostel, and he works so hard arranging evening activities like late nights boats trips on the lake and BBQs this hostel is well worth a visit.

The owner was really nice, we felt welcome and more as friends staying there than guests. Sampo (the owner) arranged a variety of events for his guests and he was always happy to join in himself.

Great hostel with beautiful views from the balconies and a nice social atmosphere. Lake Ohrid is fab!

The Manager was very polite and helpful and kind. The sheets and room were clean and there was no mosquitos.

Up in the old town with beautiful views of the lake, all run by Sampo who is amazingly hospitable and shows you around. Fun community atmosphere!

Sampo's very helpful and doesn't mind a sneaky drink or 15. Made our stay most memorable would've love to stay another night it rocked the casbah!!
