Liked: Right next to station, friendly atmosphere.

Disliked: Having to constantly remember to take my shoes off at the door.

Liked: Surprisingly close to the bus station, perfect when we arrived at 9pm. Comfy, quiet, and clean. The girl staff was helpful and forgiving when we needed to exchange currency the next day to pay. Free tea, coffee and internet/wifi. Perfect if you're after good nights sleep.

Disliked: The two showers are together in the single laundry room. So you might have to wait, or share with someone separated by curtains.

Liked: Nice hostel, close to bus and train station

Disliked: about 20 minutes to walk to the center, just one shouwer and two toiletts and a very smal kitchen. This might be difficult when they are fully booked

Liked: Very close to the bus and train station. The staff is very friendly. They also offer a drive to Riga for a very reasonable price with a guide who makes a stop at the hill of crosses on the way - really worth seeing!

Disliked: The fact that there are only 2 showers located in one room - so you have to duo shower or lock the room up for yourself. Some beds were also without mattresses so it felt like sleeping on a wooden plank.

Liked: Friendly staff, clean, close to the bus station. Not so close to town, about 2km, but there is a bus from across the road if you don't want to walk. Martines, whose wife owns the hostel, is lovely.

Disliked: A group of us booked a trip to Kaunas including the castles on the way, however the receptionist failed to communicate this to the driver and instead we were taken straight to Kaunas. However, Martines then agreed to take us back to the castles after confirming with the receptionist that this was what had been sold to us although we were asked to pay a further sum. I don't believe this error was deliberate, just an unfortunate miscommunication that was satisfactorily fixed however be sure that you confirm with the driver what you have paid for in advance. I booked online for a 7 bed dorm, however was put in the 11 bed dorm because apparently the room I had paid for was full. The 11 bed then became a 12 bed dorm when they added an extra fold-out bed. No atmosphere - there isn't room in the hostel to socialise as the common room is tiny. There are 2 showers in one room, however only 1 person can really use the room at a time as there is space to get dressed at all except in the actual shower which means that it's often a long wait. Not enough powerpoints - 2 only for 12 people. However as there is no competition in Klaipeda - it's the only hostel - there's not a lot of alternatives if you are on a budget.

Liked: The staff was friendly, the facilities were clean. Bikes can be rented directly at the hostel.

Disliked: The rooms were interconnected, so that a lot of people walked through the room all night.

Liked: Extremely close to the train and bus stations, and yet not a lot of noise was heard from the street. The girl that check me in was very nice and helpful, very good english :) Possibility to rent a bike. Tea, coffee, internet.

Disliked: Did not have a key from the hostel, had to wait when the reception was closed. A bit further from the city centre and ferry terminal.

Liked: This hostel has real backpacker atmosphere, it's very clean, the staff is extremely helpful and kind. Train and bus stations are 2 and 1 minute walk from it. It's safe, has tea and coffee facilities, and it's value-for-money!

Disliked: I liked all of it.

Liked: close to train station. helpful staff. clean. good bikes to hire for cycling on the spit.

Liked: Very friendly staff. Just across the street from the bus station. Small common room but at least you're able to meet other travellers. You get to use the small kitchen and fridge.

Disliked: Only one shower and two toilets for the whole hostel! Small place, it's cosy when not full but must be cramped if full and everyone wants to use the facilities.

Liked: Good location next to bus and train stations, and the old town isn't too far either. Spotlessly clean and super fast wifi. Spacious dorms

Disliked: Everything was quite small - very small kitchen, small social space, only 2 toilets and 1 shower, but then the hostel only has 2 dorm rooms.

Disliked: More expensive than similar hostels elsewhere. No breakfast.

Liked: nice that it is basically in the bus station. the girls that work there work SO hard, wow. nice services like renting a bike (a good bike!). good for 2 days in klaipeda
