We are R Hostel - the hostel that Rocks in Kaunas and "R" was inherited from famous Rock Pub in Kaunas that belonged to the owner of the hostel.

Uniquely located in the very center of Kaunas, we are at the same time very close to bus and railway stations. We offer you nice cozy rooms, friendly staff and good advice and the view from our roof terrace is really nice. In our lounge room you'll find games, table soccer (our staff guys are really good, so if you beat them ask them for a better deal as reward!), poker evenings and tasting nights of Lithuanian local homemade beer. In the summer you can expect grill parties on the roof, a few days wild camping fishing tours (it costs only fuel and equipment rent). Being in R Hostel is 'more than just a stay' - we want you to come for a sleep, but find an adventure.

We are near main pedestrian street Laisves aleja and the most impressive Kaunas church Soboras. Bike rent, pubs. pizzerias are a few steps away from our front door. We are also close to bus and railway stations, biggest shopping mall Akropolis, Zalgiris sport Arena and many museums and places of interest.

Accommodation Information

We offer you cozy rooms with a view. Some rooms have balconies.
We have huge 12 bed dorm with two balconies and almost 360 panoramic view.
Other dorms are 8 and 6 bed mixed dorms. Our private twin has TV/DVD.
All our beds are supported with new comfortable thick mattresses, sheets and linen.

Location Information

We are a few stops away from the main bus and railway station (any bus or trolley is OK), but if your backpack is not that big, you can reach us on foot in no more than ten minutes. The closest public transport stop (Kestucio st.) is 40 meters away from our hostel.
We are also within walking distance from the biggest shopping mall Akropolis, the most modern gym in Lithuania Zalgiris Arena and main pedestrian street Laisves aleja is 40 meters away from our front door.
You will find bike rent, sushi, pizzerias, pubs and many more places of interests within 1 to 5 minutes walking distance.
