Liked: The most pleasing part of the stay was kindness and friendliness of the staff. The two brothers at the reception were amazing and it was very nice spending time with them. The location of the hostel is the best you can expect as well.

Disliked: The only thing i did not like was a weird smell.

Liked: Good location right near the bus and rail stations and in the center of old town. Friendly staff and free tour to alternative view to Riga for tips is good. But: 1.On 3t 2th flor didn't work wi-fi(no signal) and then on 2nd day it stop working at all. 2.Not clean and very warmy in room. 3. In toilet is the same and the toilet was watering from itself... it isn't nice. So, it can be a place for 1-2 nights cause of very good location, but don't excpect more.

Liked: Awesome stay! Was in the apartment which was cleaned daily! The pub is good and cheap as well. Would definitely go back and stay here again!

Disliked: dirty and smelly shower and toilet. also very loud at nights as next to hostel there's a bar and all night long they play loud music and people that go for a cigarrete out of the bar they make a big noise on a street

Liked: Convenient location, nice pub and friendly staff.

Disliked: Bathrooms were unclean and lacked toilet paper. Kitchen smelled, possibly due to irregular ventilation. 12 bed dorms are really cramped, even compared with other dorms of similar / same number of beds in other hostels.

Liked: John (proprietor) and staff, were very, very helpful and eager to share ideas and suggestions.

Disliked: I disliked the four flights of spiral staircase to my room, but that's aminor quibble. :-) The exercise was good for me, and it added to the overall character of the hostel. To be honest, I did not dislike anything about the place!

Liked: The room we stayed in was good and the beds were nice and comfortable, we also had a table in our room not just beds which was good. The bar is super cozy and the owner is great, super friendly and fun! Location is also great=)

Disliked: It smelled a bit here and there and it was very noicy outside all through the nights.

Liked: The girls who work at the reception were very sweet and helpful.

Disliked: The beds are not so resistant; I saw two beds that collapsed while people were sleeping. There is no place to plug a shaving machine (or anything else) in the bathrooms. Be aware! The wi-fi they provide you apparently is not property of the hostel. The signal is very low because the wi-fi comes from the building in front of the hostel. I suspected that something was wrong when they didnt want me to tell where the accesspoint (the router) was located, but the signal gets stronger when I leave the hostel and walk towards the other building in front. The owner of the hostel got very drunk in the cocktail party (inside the hostel) and became aggressive, kicking out few guests. 80% of the safes in my room were jammed or out of battery.

Liked: The location is awesome and the staff is friendly.

Disliked: The bed is too small for people to sit on the bed. The sockets are not enough.Besides, there are no wi-fi.

Liked: friendly and helpful staff (doesn't hurt that the girls who work there are gorgeous either!)/ Good cheap, friendly bar to meet people.

Liked: John was super fun and very helpful. He organized an impromptu bar night in celebration of International Women's Day, which really added to the experience. It was very easy to meet people in the pub. The dorm room was clean and well organized. The toilet had an issue, but John had the plumber in right away. It was very easy and convenient to the bus station and then to other Old Town sites.

Disliked: The wi-fi only worked with the computer on the window sill. It was doable, but not really convenient.

Liked: Nice bar located on ground floor. Friendly staff. Personal safe located in the dorm rooms.

Disliked: Cold and dark kitchen. No common area with TV and/or couch.

Disliked: the ceiling in my room was full of mould. very cold in the room. disgusting smell from the bathroom

Liked: The bar downstairs is a relaxed and perfect way to meet new people and to chill with a beer before heading out or after a night out and having a few drinks upon our return.

Disliked: The rooms were adequate but we had some mould on the walls and the shower room had a smell of mould and mildew as well. Needed some updating!
