Liked: Very good location, 5 minutes walk from the bus station and next to the old town, very clean rooms and kitchen, many activities information in the reception and excelent facilities. Staff was really friendly and helpful for any question you had.

Liked: Really cozy and a great commom room to meet people in a great atmosphere. Movie night war awesome with free popcorns.

Disliked: The only problem was insufficent hot water sometimes in the showers.

Liked: The common room was an excellent place to relax and meet people. We also found the staff to be really helpful and friendly.

Disliked: The price was not much cheaper than nearby hotels (double ensuite)

Liked: All which is needed for having a nice and fun weekends were in hostel

Liked: Free internet, lots of clean showers and toilets. Double room had huge comfy bed and free towels. We had a great night sleep and the location is very close to the bus station and close to great bars and cafes. Try the No Problem bar for outdoor music and drinking. The entire staff were friendly and helpful. There are a lot of activities on offer at the hostel including bungee, tours and a shooting range experience. Kitchen is also good and common room makes it easy to meet others.

Disliked: Need more fans in summer.

Liked: The atmosphere was great and the staff so friendly, it was the perfect place to meet other people. The fact that it rained all through our stay was completely compensated by the fun we had staying indoors at the hostel.

Liked: Fantastic hostel in a great location. Friendly, fun and helpful staff. Social atmosphere with a great common room, cheap drinks at the bar, plenty of beanbags...can't go wrong!

Liked: - Staff was very helpful- Central location- Common room is lively, you can meet people- Clean, secure

Disliked: - Ask for a room at the back, the rooms in front are very noisy! (Lots of noise coming from the street, and windows are open due to heat - no airco). To be fair, once told about the problem the next day, the staff offered me a free beer to compensate for the noise (although it was 9AM). - Lots of people are in Riga to party, so they may come back very late... But I suppose it's the same in any hostel in Riga.

Liked: Great stay, clean rooms, great location, helpful staff, fun crowd. Cannot say ANYTHING bad about the place. Really helpful staff shows you maps and draws directions for anything. If Borat stayed here, he'd say VERY NICE!!!!!

Liked: Oh the fun had at the Naughty Squirrel. Its a big hostel but don't be put off as the staff are great and the small common room is a hive of fun.Free wifi, kitchen and a bar in house (see if you can drink them out of beer like we did). Met some great people there and would stay again anytime. It is a party place so if your looking for a quiet night you may be best looking elsewhere.

Liked: I actually stayed at the Blue Cow (Naughty Squirrel's sister hostel, also in central Riga). This is a new, apartment-style hostel with fantastic, modern facilities in an ideal location - within walking distance of all the major sights. The staff at both hostels are excellent and very helpful. Blue Cow is a great option for travellers seeking a quieter atmosphere, while Naughty Squirrel has an active social program.

Liked: It is very central - about a 2 minute walk from the main sqaure and the bus stop is about 2 minutes as well.The old town of riga is not that big so it is easy to walk around. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the free shots are great. Watch out for the black balsalm. They offer free internet as well. Everyone pretty much speaks english and the transport is easy to understand. The train station can be a lttlle confusing at first to find.
