Liked: It was very lively and had Internet access. The staff were helpful and there was loads of information available. It was in a very good location.

Disliked: Nothing really to dislike.

Liked: Good atmosphere, friendly staff, happy hour beers and table football!

Disliked: Private double room wasn't great value, Ala Hostel / Blue Cow barracks probably nicer if you want a slightly better quality and more peaceful (less hostel-y) experience. Overall though, nothing major!

Liked: Good location, great set up and atmosphere, very clean, lots of bathrooms so never any wait.

Disliked: Some staff members aren't the friendliest, but this is a small niggle.

Liked: The girl on reception was excellent. Im not exaggerating every time I walked past the bathrooms they were being cleaned!!! spotless. Rooms were large, strong lockers. fast wifi. great location. Close to coach station while being in the middle of old town. good atmosphere for meeting people. secure.

Disliked: nothing really, one of my favorite hostels in europe. will be going back there.

Liked: LOVED IT. The staff is wonderful... Truly hope I find a good reason to pass by Riga again some time, just to stay at the NSB for a night or two :)

Liked: Cleanliness and location. Also, the price for a single, private room was quite reasonable compared to other locations in the Baltic states.

Disliked: Wifi only worked in the reception area which is always crowded. I hated the fact that I had to go down to the reception area every time I wanted to use my laptop computer. This property needs to have wifi throughout the premises including the guest room (ideally) or as a bare minimum at least have it in the common areas of the guest floors so that you do not have to go to "party central" every time you want to use your computer. Also, it would have been nice if breakfast was included in the room rate.

Liked: Excellent hostel. Would definitely recommend. I am going back there for the 3rd time at the end of this week! Great little details like we had ipod speakers mounted in our room (5 bed private). Really feels well run.

Disliked: Directions weren't the easiest to follow, but I still found the place no trouble

Liked: its direkt in the old town and cheap

Disliked: the room i sleeped in was next to the air conditioner of the neighbour building. this technical thing starts running every 5 minuites during night - the distance from the single window in the room was less than 2meters!!! and the window must be open to avoid beeing killed by hotness in the room

Liked: This is one of the best hostels I have stayed at for facilities and atmosphere. The staff seem to enjoy working there so they are friendly and put in extra effort to make it enjoyable to stay there

Liked: very helpful staff and good services included in price. They organize pub crawl - great idea if you're there alone. Unfortunately couldn't participate but I'll return there next time in Riga.

Liked: Fantastic place to meet people and plenty going on during the week that is organised by the hostel, free internet, lockers available, swipe card entry to places, excellent staff!

Disliked: No hot water in one shower.

Liked: Nice place to stay for the weekends with friends.

Disliked: They have many stickers on the doors of different credit / debit cards but the truth is that they DO NOT accept them. When I wanted to pay for our stay - lady said it's better to pay by cash. Then I said I have no cash. She asked to use ATM. But I had only credit card. She said it will still be cheaper for me to withdraw money from credit card. In the end she said it's the only way to pay by cash. So me and all my friends had to worry about getting cash on the checkout day. That was very disappointing. I couldn't even pay for the beer by card.

Liked: Very friendly staff and perfect location. Asked for change of sheets every 2 days and they did immediately!

Disliked: The doors slammed very loud next door and each time it felt like someone is knocking our door, was really disturbing. The private room being near a dorm room (which has 8 people coming and going) is not a good idea...

Liked: Good lounge + kitchen facilities. Extremely helpful staff who even let me use their phone and offered to help search for accom in small towns in Latvia. Very homely. Internet computers and wi-fi available.

Disliked: Poor drainage from showers + some toilet seats needed maintenance but facilities were very clean so not a big deterrent.

Liked: 5min walk to bus station, about 10min walk to train station and centre of old town. Staff were always cleaning, bright and fun hostel. Free wifi and kitchen.

Disliked: No breakfast.
