Liked: great staff, very helpful and good suggestions of what to see and where to go. your items are safe and secure with keycard locks to rooms and this protects your possesions.

Liked: not one thing i could complain about. really clean hostel...16 showers...hot water...awesome kitchen...but the staff, they are what make the hostel. jarred is an absolute legend.

Disliked: Quite expensive for a private room: I was quoted in Euros and had to pay in LVL (which increased the price drastically)

Liked: This place is run really well. Big dorms, clean, cool common areas and super friendly staff that are always organising stuff for guests. Best hostel I stayed at in three months

Liked: This is a very nice and professional hostel...Location is perfect...It is also a good place to meet other fellow travelers...Staff is friendly and helpful...There are sufficient showers and toilets which are constantly being cleaned by hardworking staff...

Disliked: Wifi signal too weak in the rooms, especially on higher floors...Kitchen is very small...A commission is applied to credit card payments...

Liked: This hostel is set up so that you will meet people. There was not wifi in my room (on the second floor) but there was good wifi in the lobby. The hostel is quite clean, and the staff is very cool, but also really professional. The pub crawls are fun.

Disliked: Nothing! This place was great!

Liked: Pretty much everything. I like the activities that you could do through the hostel and the hostel was bright clean and spacious and had a vibrant and friendly atmosphere.

Disliked: The only thing I could complain about was a lukewarm shower.

Liked: If I was going to design the perfect hostel this would be it, one of the best I've ever stayed in. It ticks all the boxes any backpacker could want - clean, friendly staff, great atmosphere, comfy rooms, lockers, free internet and foosball table, kitchen, cheap bar, plenty of activities... the list goes on. Well done Naughty Squirrel.

Liked: Nice & friendly staff. They offer you tips in touring the old city on check-in without you asking for it. Very good atmosphere and we had a wonderful time chatting with others in the common room. The homemade meatballs for the Latvian food night was yum!

Disliked: The double ensuites have room for a small table for put our stuff. The bathroom could do with some hooks to hang our clothes, I don't feel too at ease putting them on the potty :)

Liked: Open minded-ness, friendly staff, lots of activities to do (shooting, biking, rafting ... you name it, they have it), lots of people to talk to, to get to know people.

Disliked: If you're a bit tired and sleepy, not always that easy, because a lot of people and sometimes party people getting back in the middle of the night ;-). Everything also feels a bit crammed, not that much space in the kitchen, but makes it feel cosy too!

Liked: The staff were awesome, came home at 5 am and had no money, and they didn't hesitate to lend me a 10er until I could withdraw. So cheap to stay there, all sorts of cheap drinks and food available and I could have stayed in the common room for a week it was good fun.

Disliked: Disliked that every other hostel will now be a let down!

Liked: Best host I have ever been in. Friendly people, great rooms and great facilities. Best thing was that everyone was chilling in the common rooms exchanging travel stories, drinking beer. Great atmosfeer.

Liked: This place is great. Really helpful Latvian staff that show you all the insiders places to go out and galleries to see etc. Bathrooms cleaned twice a day - and hardly have to wait for them. Lots of group activities at night (pub crawl, magic shows, drinking games) etc.

Disliked: Only thing is common room can get a bit cosy as it is a pretty big hostel.
