Liked: The staff knew about our reservation without any asking, just showed me the reservation page. The room was clean and cosy, there were very clean showers. There was no curfew, so when we returned from the city really late, there was no problem with that. Also, we were able to easily park very near the hostel and didn't have to pay for it.

Disliked: The only thing that struck us was that the advertised room for 4, already had a few girls in it, so the room was actually meant for 6 people. Also, too bad that the reception didn't want to accept euro coins, but I think it's usual practice when the euro isn't a national currency.

Liked: Of the limited facilities the are, there is good quality, good plumming.

Disliked: It is rather ugly style. Facilities are only the most basic.

Liked: The room (double ensuite) was great for such a good price. Very clean and cosy.

Liked: This is the most modern hostel I've ever stayed at. I think the rooms in the past may have been used as commercial office space. The parquet floors, the bright halogen lights, solid doors, the neutral color paint on the walls, etc. are all very nice and neat. The bunk beds are sturdy and the mattresses are comfy, but what this place lacks is a TV and a kitchen. Riga is just too expensive to eat at restaurants 3 times a day.

Liked: Very modern, clean, wonderful atmosphere and very friendly staff. And all that quit cheap. Probably the best place to stay in Latvia.

Liked: New nice, very small rooms in a good but noisy location.Very small hostel on the second floor. New showers but sometimes hardly accessible. Near the Old City. Without free car parking and breakfast.

Liked: We sleept in a douple room and it was a real douple room, not only two seperate beds. It is a clean hostel and the rooms are nice. I think there is no other option to sleep for so lesss money in Riga and get such nice rooms. The staff is friendly and the helped us with the strange bus system. The only " -" point is the location, it is not in the city, so not in the old town. If you want to see the old town you can take the bus (there is a bus stop in front of the hostel) or walk (15 Min). But it is located in the art nouveau part fom Riga.

Liked: Wasn't too busy, so got sleep in quite atmosphere. Well organised reservation system and parking near hostel.

Liked: The cleanliness and comfortable bed. The place has been newly done out. Helpfulness of the girl on the desk the first day. They had a problem when we arrived - for some unknown reason our double ensuite was not available. The room they offered instead was a double with a shower/toilet across the corridor, which they reserved solely for our use. We said this was acceptable; especially as they offered us a discount. The problem arose in that they had not taken into account our deposit. It took quite a bit of working out, with calls by the receptionist to the manager. She was excellent at dealing with it in a friendly and helpful manner and so we got it resolved. Good value internet available.On the minus side; there are no kitchen or communal areas to really make food or hot drinks (take a travel kettle). Also it would be hard to meet others there if this was one of your criteria. We just needed somewhere comfortable to sleep, fairly close to the main areas, so this was ideal for us. I would still recommend this hostel as very good value for where and what it is.
