City Lounge Hostel is the the first and only design hostel in Riga, located in a completely renovated apartment in heart of Riga. The hostel - set in a building over 100 years old - is owned and managed by a tourism-related family. City Lounge is the best choice for those seeking a modern and trendy design that has retained a touch of history.

City Lounge Hostel is in an excellent location. Set in a small and quiet street in the prestigous historical center of Riga, just a few steps from the railway and bus stations, we are moments from the main tourist attraction: Old Riga.

Accommodation Information

We are on the top floor of an old building - and there is no elevator. If you have a lot of luggage our staff will help carry it upstairs (just call the bell downstairs and ask for help). But the top floor guarantees fresh air, calm sleep and sunny rooms in the heart of Riga city.

Our rooms are safe and comfortable, each decked out in different design influenced by the metropolises of the world. Each room has a smart card access and boxes or racks with padlocks for your personal belongings. A central hostel safe is at the reception for all of your valuables. Our beds are specially designed and equipped with the best mattresses on the market to ensure a comfy and healthy sleep.

If the weather is awful, or if you're not in the mood for going out, you can have an excellent time at our place. We have a huge plasma TV, cable television and a collection of DVDs, karaoke, an Egyptian water-pipe, a PlayStation with a great variety of games, a football table (you can always challenge the receptionist... if you want to feel a bit like loser, that is) and table games. Or if that sounds like too much, you can just have a nice chat with the other guests.

And if you hear someone talking about a trendy kitchen in Latvia, it's probably about ours. People say it is the best hostel kitchen in Latvia, coming fully-equipped with cups, bowls, pans, fridge, microwave and an oven.
