The Central Hostel was warm, comfortable, and welcoming - and the staff were brilliant. They were helpful, full of advice, and made sure everything was OK.

really friendly and helpful staff. great location, walking distance to train and bus stations as well as being just out of old town, but the better for it. loved the free breakfast too, what a selection! really good value for money - clean, spacious, new facilities. and secure.

Location was good,very close to the centrum,but not on a too busy street. The staff were nice. Free breakfast was also nice,quite modest though. But free,so you can't complain.

athmosfere, very contact with customers (thanx for red room ;)), 5 minutes by walk to centrum, nice staff, 10 sorts of jam in da breakfast, internet, etc ;-) generally best hostel i have ever been

Nice to have a douple room, but still feel the atmosphere of a hostel.
The rooms are decorated great. (Maybe it is time to get some new beds - could feel the springs...)

Friendly & Helpful Staff, Free Breakfast, Free Hot Drinks, Internet (Could do with another Computer as lots of Guests), Free Bag storage, Clean & Tidy toilets/Showers, Spacious rooms.

Friendly staff, clean & cozy rooms, common room in a separate building with a sauna (!) so noice is not a problem either.

The staff was very friendly and even did my laundry for me for only five Lats. The rooms were clean and dry, and each room had a variety of amenities, including a fan, night stands, and reading light. When I go back to Riga, I will definitely stay at this hostel again.

The dorm rooms are quite good value for money. Furthermore the staff is very helpfull and there is free breakfast and internet included. The private rooms however are not recommended. They are very empty and then you also hear every word that is spoken in the reception area that is 5 meters away. Very noisy indeed. Matrass was pretty worn out.

The hostel is located in an interesting part of the city, very near to the sightseeing places, bus and train stations, but at the same time outside the "Old Town: theme park for tourists". It allows you to experience some more of REAL city life in Latvia. The hostel building is in perfect conditions (old but redeveloped) and the common room on the ground floor is just great: ample, with two sofas, a big table, a chimney, even a sauna! The only negative factor was that electricity was not working, so nobody can enjoy the best thing that this hostel has to offer as an extra-facility. There is also a small common room in the 1st floor with a tv that is running day and night and a computer with access to internet. The members of the staff were kind and answered all the questions we had about Riga and the hostel.
