Liked: Comfortable bed, a lot of privacy. It's near the city centre, but not much outside noise drifted into the hostel.

Disliked: The entrance hallway on the first floor smelled a little... off. Other than that, no complaints.

Liked: It really was a great stay in Riga, the room was bigger than in our "5 Star"-Hotel two weeks before in the UAE. Strictly non-smoker. Have a lot of ideas what to do in Riga and the surroundings. The Internet availability was great in our room with Wifi. You only need about 10-15 minutes walk into the city centre, the main train and bus station is between 5 and 10 minutes away :)

Disliked: The only negative thing about the hostel are the thin walls, especially when you have french in the next room ;) But a little knock also told them to do their sport a little more private :D

Liked: nice atmosphere, good service, very clean and nice facilities

Liked: The hostel is very close to the old city and train station (5-10 min foot), the welcome is warm and you find exactly what you need in the bedroom (in my case : private double). Windows are equipped with double glazing but the street is mostly quiet.Very good for the price.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: Very nice breakfast. Nice colouring of the hostel, I mean, nice colours of the furniture, many colourful things lying around.

Disliked: I wasn't feeling very safe walking down the street the hostel is. But location is good all in all.

Liked: Good atmosphere.

Disliked: Breackfast room is tooo small. Can only fit 2-4 people. Hostel is not clean (dust growing in lamps, bathroom, rafters). Beddings are not confortable with tongs that try to enter in your back. And by the way, Central Hostel is not so central.

Liked: Close to the train and bus stations. A longer walk to the old town than some of the other hostels but cheaper. Rooms are very nice and the place is kept clean. Breakfast is included and is simple but good.

Disliked: Wifi doesn't work in all the rooms ... it didn't work in ours but then we were in a roof top room.

Liked: Great atmosphere nice and personal/ cozy. Double room was tiny and not much space for 2 people and no surfaces to put things on to. Kitchen was too small to actually make a meal apart from toast or tea and coffee in. Close to train and bus stations and about 15 mins (fast) walk to old town. Overall good value for money with free breakfast included (toast, jam, cereal) and free tea and coffee all day.

Liked: This hostel has a real homely feel about it. Staff are friendly and they serve free breakfast. The hostel is very close to the old town and train and bus station.

Liked: Huge 4 bed dorm rooms! Amazingly clean and great common rooms. Location is ok, just a 15 minute walk to the center of old town. Everything is brand new in the hostel and beds are super comfy. Would definitely recommend to anyone staying in Riga.

Liked: For my first stay in a hostel abroad this place was fab. I liked the fact that the room was tastefully done and a lot better than I had thought it was going to be. The extra breakfast on the Sunday was very welcome as were the times breakfast took place 8 till 12. The staff were very friendly and the location was far enough out of town to be away from the noise. It is a great place to meet other travellers and the free internet is good for those looking for their next place to stay.

Disliked: We have no negative comments for this place.

Liked: Very nice hostel, feels homely, nice clean bathrooms.very good complimentary breakfast.not in riga's old town but very close to it and close to bus/train stationi would definately recommend this hostel -one of the nicest i have ever stayed in!

Liked: It was clean, nice, toast and cheese spreads and jellies and tea and coffee for breakfast with plenty of dishes to go around (wash your own). Theres a (slow) computer with internet in the main lounge, they even let us print our boarding passes for our flight. Overall good experience.

Liked: The staff were extra helpful, a help yourself breakfast is included in the price, the rooms are amazing, the facilities are excellent... everything really. It really is a home away from home, so much so that I booked myself in for another night on my return to Riga. Next time I go to Riga, I will not have to look for a hostel, I will just go back to Central Hostel. Definitely one of the BEST hostels I have ever stayed in. I will recommend this place highly to everybody going to Riga (or not going to Riga, I'll still tell them though).

Liked: good location

Disliked: i did not have a good experience with one member of the staff. it is a guy who was nice at first, but he was rude when i asked him one for one more map. there were 3 people with 2 reservations going to different ways, but he wanted to give me only one map. when i kept asking him for one more touristic map, as we 3 were paying and we had 2 different reservations, he said he couldnt give me cause they had to keep it for more people, and said to me that he could just give me none. i commented that his attitude wasnt nice and when i asked him about something on the city he refused giving me me any info and said to me to look on the map. the hostel itself was nice, and me and my friends decided to stay one more night. in the following day one of them checked out and, later, someone else wanted to charge us more because the guy didnt have charged the person who checked out for laundry. in the following morning, i asked the guy about breakfast and he did not allow me because it was before 8am, the time he said it would start. that is ok that rules are rules, but there are a lot of different ways of being nice with people and it does not cost a penny, especially when you are working and dealing with people.
