The Villa Merry Lao-Swiss is a family operated boutique hotel sitting at the base of Phousi Mountain, of which the hotel’s suite rooms have an exceptional view. All of the rooms are tastefully decorated with furniture made in Luang Prabang. The rooms come equipped with exhaust fans in the sleeping room and bathroom. Rooms come equipped with a private bathroom with hot shower, air conditioning, cable TV, dressing table, sofa and minibar. The Villa Merry Lao-Swiss is locally owned and the owner/manager is fluent in English and German.
Opened in March 2005, the Villa Merry Lao-Swiss is a small family operated boutique hotel offering travelers from around the world a warm welcome. The building, constructed in 1958, was originally a storehouse for agricultural products. Some of these architectural details are still visible today and add historic charm to the hotel. Located at the base of Phousi Mountain and close to the city centre, the hotel is a perfect starting point for touring the city.
For travelers seeking more luxury than found at a traditional guesthouse, the Villa Merry Lao-Swiss is an ideal alternative. The hotel staff is more than happy to help plan special occasion packages for honeymoon couples and birthdays. The current staff of six includes three family members.
