Liked: Because it was low season, I reserved a dorm room but ended up with a room to myself. Showers were nice and hot and Internet worked well throughout the building. Staff were receptive to questions even if their answers weren't always helpful.

Disliked: Location, location, location, coupled with the worst map I've ever seen. The map has a lot of highlights and arrows on it that are misleading. Even when I asked locals to help me orient myself on the map (the many times I was lost), they couldn't decipher the map either. It's about a 20 minute walk to the city center which is fine, but from the bus station, you pretty much have to take a taxi. The bus is not easy or convenient to catch from the bus station and after getting dropped off, you have to walk quite a ways uphill (with no signs pointing you in the right direction).

Liked: I didn't find the staff unfriendly like some other reviews said. I think they were quite serious and proper as they were doing their jobs, but genuinely happy to have travelers visiting their country. Rooms are quite big and spacious, and our room had a lot of furniture in it. It's an interesting house to stay in.

Disliked: I didn't get to meet the professor! :( :( :( And yes the location is not great, it is a really long walk up and down the hill to get to town center. Also smoking is allowed in the kitchen but unfortunately in the Balkans, smoking is quite common indoors in many places.

Liked: The professor is hilarious and very helpful, rooms are clean and tidy.

Disliked: The location is a bit far from town but taxis are so cheap and the area it is in is a nicer part of Pristina so that makes up for it.

Liked: The professor and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The price is great we had our own room with ensuite. Theres a kitchen which is well equipped. 10min walk to town down the hill was fine bit longer to city central but no drama didnt mind walking. Everything is pretty cheap also.

Disliked: Our room smelt like stale smoke, previous person obviously been smoking even though its a no smoking place. Definitely a guesthouse not a hostel no real place to interact with others, wasnt a problem for us as we are a couple, could be lonely travelling by yourself. Is ages away from bus staion not walking distance cheap taxis though 3-3.50 EURO we took a furgon to tirana the next day at 6am was 16Euro per person 6.5hrs approx for anyone wanting to go to Tirana, drops you in the center of town. Tip for anyone arriving at airport I would ring the professor and get him to order you a taxi or find one with a meter or make sure you negotiate the price beforehand as we got seriously ripped off its meant to be 12-15EURO we were forced to pay 25EURO was not a great start to our trip.

Liked: I found really warm atmosphere. Professor was great. I don't know why I was happy during my stay. It was only one option that I could see as cheap accomodation in Prishtine (also in Kosovo).

Disliked: Staff was helpful but only Professor is able to speak English (maybe more but I couldn't see).

Liked: It was the only hostel in Pristina, it provided a bed, wifi and the usual but was sadly lacking in atmosphere or personality.

Disliked: The 4 bed dorm was cramped and very noisy due to a machine going all the night. Also it was impossible to find using public transport. The directions were atrocious and even the bus conductor didn't understand the map from hostelbookers site, To go to or come from the bus station the easiest option was to take a cab. At 3-4 euro each time it adds to the cost of the hostel.

Liked: It is the only hostel in pristina.

Disliked: Location is terrible. Very very hard to find (they should give you better instructions). The professor is lovely, but the woman working there is very rude and unfriendly

Liked: Friendly owner. Stayed in a double and had an en suite shower in double room

Disliked: Bit smoky and tired looking. Bit of an ant problem in our room as we left. Centre was a good walk away but possible

Liked: Very clean room with Satellite TV and an ensuite bathroom. The staff members that we met were really helpful and provided us everything that we required to find our way around Pristina. As others have commented, it isn't the easiest place to find (mostly due to lack of street signs) but it has a pretty good view once you're there!

Liked: Very helpful staff, great room with big balcony. It's a short walk out of rown, but really not that far at all, there's shops and a piza place very close.

Disliked: We got a taxi from the bus station, i guess it would be a little difficult to find when you arrive, but once you find your way it's easy

Liked: Is the only hostel in town, if you are 2 or 3 people travelling together, it may be a better value to look for a 1 or 2 star hotel

Disliked: Although a bed was available, they didnt let me check in till noon. The night person is rude and his last concern is the wellbeing of the guests. The day time people are sort of better, they can point you out on the right direction, but dont trust their map or how "long" they say it will take you to make it to your destination. For ex: the local bus is 4 minutes from here, but it was more like 15, so you dont know if you are lost or not.

Liked: As the only hostel in town, this isn't a bad pick. 10 mins from town, but there is no aircon so beware of heatwave season. also note that map for pristina is completely useless... it's prob better to navigate by the sun / stars...

Disliked: the professor was friendly enough, but the overnight watchman is not particularly helpful. also location wise it's not too central

Liked: since there are no other hostels in prishtina online you kind of have to book velania or look for another place there. It is no great place but its not bad either. the prices are fair but don't expect an awesome hostel.

Disliked: its quite far away from the centre.
