Bantu Utamaduni Lodge

Welcome to the Bantu Utamaduni Lodge, a place synonymous with Africian hospitality where modernity and tradition go hand in hand.

The Bantu Utamaduni Lodge is located on the tropical forest inside Mt Kenya forest.
Unspoiled bushy forests, romantic natural surrounding and lush tropical gardens combine to make your stay a truly magical experience.

Our facilities include Batian Restaurant which seats 80 people and serves a range of international cuisine.

We also have two bars including Old Moses which is indoors with a fire place & our garden bar.

The lodge is endowed with lush a lawn, which also serves as two separate fully serviced campsites with a shared kitchen and flush toilets and hot/cold showers. Firewood for your private bonfire is provided for. Also you can either pitch your own tent or you can hire tents, bedding and mattresses from the lodge.

We offer a Boat hire facility. We provide both manual and motorized. The manual boat has a capacity of 3 and the motor boats have a capacity of 12.

Bantu also has a Merry Go Round that carries a capacity of 14 people

We have 42 spacious rooms all elegantly appointed, offering traditional comfort and services that a VIP would be satisfied with.

There are two room types available- standard and superior standard.
Superior standard

The Superior Standard rooms come with a fire place and television set with DSTV. Both room types have a beautiful view of the Green Gardens and bush forest around the lodge.

Location Information

The Lodge is a delightful countryside holiday resort tucked inside the lower hems of the Mt. Kenya forest “a world Heritage site”, 7kms North of Naro moru, 15 kms south of Nanyuki and less than 1km from the main road along Nairobi-Nanyuki Highway.

You can spend your day bird watching, horse back riding, boat sailing, trout fishing, nature trailing exploring the Mt Kenya national park or taking one of our organized tours.

In the evenings you can enjoy a romantic candle lite dinner at our roof garden restaurant then relax at the bar while being entertained by traditional and animal dances home from the Agikuyu cultural Village.
