Liked: The people I stayed with in this family are friendly, both the visitors and the family members. The family I stayed with also provides dinner and you get to share it with the rest of the people there. Simple meal, but local and quite tasty. Of cause, it's more expensive than what's listed on the hostel website, and twice as much as what was agreed upon when I was picked up.
Disliked: The home I ended up staying isn't bad. But there are problems: 1) their home is out of town, maybe 3Km. The owner can take you to downtown in the morning when they go to work. But you find your way home. 2) the owner runs a travel agency, and we are compelled to buy tours from them. A bit pushy sometimes. 3) despite that they have 2 maids, the home is not spotless. 4) I booked a private room, but had to share a room with someone else. 5) I paid 100% of what's charged. 10% deposit is not deducted.
