Wildebeest Camp, Nairobi, Kenya - map - directions
image image image image Only 2km from the city centre, Wildebeest Camp is Nairobi's first permanent-tented camp. It has beautifully-appointed rooms and deluxe safari tents (ensuited), peaceful tropical gardens - while still being close to shops, markets, cinemas, banks and transport links. It is truly an oasis!

Very different and an enjoyable experience. Hear the animal noises throughout the night for the authentic African experience (unfortunately you might hear the barking dog too though).

Alan, the Proprietor, is a friendly, accomodating and knowledgeable guy. The camp has a very relaxed, friendly atmosphere, and the staff can easily work with you to make your stay pleasant and your visit to Kenya memorable. It is on oasis in Nairobi.

I have stayed at a lot of places over the years and this place has to rate among one of the best in all areas. In the hustle and bustle that is Nairobi the Wildebeest is an Oasis. For young or old, with or without kids the Wildebeest caters for all. Many activities are offered by the Wildebeest in Nairobi and Kenya at prices that you find hard to beat. The hostel manager Alan was among one of the most friendly and helpful characters I have come across and the atmosphere he creates makes it very hard to leave. If visiting Nairobi I can’t recommend this place enough.
